Nil nil on a hot day. Apart from that absolutely no recollection of the game apart from being fleetingly on Shoot! or whatever it was called whilst standing in the Roker End near the corner flag aged 10 years old.
A relegation season.

Must have been about 1990 at home to Man City

Remember Reid and Quinny for them

Gabbiadini and co for us. Don't remember exact team. Have a program somewhere. Would love to know if anyone else can remember

If its the same game - Peter davenport scored for us and did a little jig in front of the city fans - they had been giving him stick for being united reject ...

First game was a friendly, I think against Darlington.

First actual game we lost to Leicester 2-1 in august 1995.

3-2 win at home v Bristol Rovers in 1978.

Think I can remember Barry Siddall and Shaun Elliott playing but not much else cos I was only 6 at the time.
Still got me hooked though , stood in paddock all game with gob wide open like a guppy fish !:-D

Bit later, it was the 1979-80 season. & Turner was in goal. Somewhere, I've got a cracking picture of Shaun Elliott in mid air in that game

Spot on fella.

They finished bottom as well.

Next game was a bit better, 4 nowt v Ipswich. Marco Hat-trick.

While we're on with corrections and clarifications, the Ipswich game was a few weeks later. We went to Swindon the following week, and got thumped again 4-1 this time. Peter Barnes played his only game for us.

That was mine too, Clock Stand Paddocks. I was bought a programme and read it cover to cover for months. I wanted to go back next game in case I was the ringed face in the crowd in the next programme.

I was in 75/76 got a fiver which was like a million pound in them days
