They were both 22-23 when they played in Belgium.
Certainly Jelavic was rubbish in that period, but it was his first experience outside his home country. To be honest : I couldn't see him making a career the way he did afterwards.
Ba was better, but if you would have suggested at that time that he would become a Chelsea player, I would have my doubts on your mental capabilities, but things went very good for them.
On the other hand : I never had any doubts that players like Fellaini, Mignolet, Kompany,Dembele... would make it in the PL.
I doubt if Hazard is going to live up to the expectations that they have in him
I'm not going to say that Juhasz is going to make it at Sunderland (if he makes the move) but he certainly has a good chance.
That said : if you want a hint for a good Belgian young player : Siebe Schrijvers, only 16, and a player of KRC Genk, keep track of him.
Note : I'm not a fan of Anderlecht nor KRC Genk, so I'm not advertising for them.My team is Cercle Brugge who are almost condemned to relegate...
Thanks, I'll look out for Schrijvers, what kind of player is he?
I've been taking a bit more notice of the Belgium league since Sunderland signed a deal with Lierse, if we are placing players with them then it would be useful to see how they are progressing.

No.
Da-Silva didn't do that badly anyway, one or two mistakes but in general he was dependable back up.
