If I see people saying that Juhasz isn't even good enough for the Belgian league, I can understand the feeling, but I really have to make a few remarks.

First of all : Juhasz was a first 11 player in the past years and very rarely missed a match for Anderlecht, it's just that he can't get along with the new team manager for some reason.

Another fact : Jelavic wasn't good enough for a mid-table team (Zulte-Waregem) in the Belgian league, and Demba Ba was a little more than average for Mouscron. It didn't stop them from being successful in the PL, I guess.

I've seen a lot of Juhasz matches for Anderlecht and he's a solid defender
Don't pay 2,500,000£ for him, but I expect the fee to be 800,000£ max, and for that money you will have a sobre, decent defender with good heading abilities.
No more, but no less either. I would expect him to become a first 11 player.
Ba and Jelavic weren't almost 30 at the time, they were 20-21. I'm not saying he can't make it, but I have my doubts.

Hmmmm... which opinion to place more faith in? The lad who has clearly seem plenty of him and is quite obviously very well informed on Belgian football? Or the berks who know nowt but his age?

Tough one...

Nah, I acknowledge they are actual opinions. I just disagree with them. 'He must be shite because he is 29' isn't an opinion, though. That's the difference.

Sounds like a good player and he genuinely can't do worse than the players we've played in central defence recently.

Is he as slow as other posters on here have suggested?

He's quite average at speed, but has good positioning.
You're complaining about your central defenders, but keep in mind that every player makes mistakes if you focus on it.

yes but you have categorically stated that you have put faith in his opinion on a player i would think you havnt seen or possibly heard of until today

Good positioning is probably more important than good speed for a central defender, so that's good news.

You are far too sensible for this forum though, you need to be a bit more hysterical to fit in.

Indeed. Only the bad ones need pace. Great bonus, mind.

Someone watched a lot of Papiss Cisse and said he can't make it because he misses too much.
But seriously, I haven't said this CB is shit, just that I can't see how there could be better CB's than O'Shea in that league, and not up and coming young ones, but some old out of favour ones.
Let's hope MON found a gem in there.

Can't be arsed to read the thread. can somebody make my opinion up on the fella please, thanks.

Geezers played in the cl and at international level and it looks like we're picking him up for 800k.

Hits the spot for me. Or we could sign some wanker from the championship and have to pay 3 million because he had a good game against f***ing derby.

They were both 22-23 when they played in Belgium.
Certainly Jelavic was rubbish in that period, but it was his first experience outside his home country. To be honest : I couldn't see him making a career the way he did afterwards.
Ba was better, but if you would have suggested at that time that he would become a Chelsea player, I would have my doubts on your mental capabilities, but things went very good for them.
On the other hand : I never had any doubts that players like Fellaini, Mignolet, Kompany,Dembele... would make it in the PL.
I doubt if Hazard is going to live up to the expectations that they have in him

I'm not going to say that Juhasz is going to make it at Sunderland (if he makes the move) but he certainly has a good chance.

That said : if you want a hint for a good Belgian young player : Siebe Schrijvers, only 16, and a player of KRC Genk, keep track of him.

Note : I'm not a fan of Anderlecht nor KRC Genk, so I'm not advertising for them.My team is Cercle Brugge who are almost condemned to relegate...

Gerrin Thomas Helmer MkII.;)

Actually I thought Helmer did well, but unfortunately had a row early on with Reidy and that was that.

It's all down to MON, he'll live or die by his signings. If the lad signs, then Suicidal Cuellar may be benched. He's had a bit of a mare in the last couple of games.
