I think that's part of the problem to be fair.

People have made up their own minds regardless of what is said by those who know the truth (not saying they've told it, but they know it).

At the end of the day people will have their own opinions. There are some who think the owners are chancers, others who think that they are gods. There's also a few that realise that the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

Abuse and threats to the owners because we haven't achieved what some fans feel we deserve is pretty poor in my opinion.

I completely agree, it's just that I see abuse given to a group of people I dont see. If anyone carried on towards SD in the manner of which some are sticking up for him then fair enough.

Donald and co!

How they’ve managed to clear the decks of historic failures while being a kick away from a (shite) cup and promotion is incredible. Rodwell, kone, dilly etc.

Managed to drive season ticket sales to a higher level than in the championship!

To have the club, In a position where billionaires are interesting in buying us is unbelievable! All this talk of Donald ruining a deal. We probably wouldn’t have a club if it wasn’t for these guys. And to think we are now abusing them, personally, makes me sick. It’s utterly pathetic. Have a word.

We look like a bunch of absolutely spoilt brats. Any fan outside this area would put us in the same bracket as Newcastle fans. No greater insult.

The billionaires wanted to buy us because of Netflix and they could change their minds because Donald and co.

And yes, missing promotion from League One is really a historic failure.

Fair play to Donald if he manages to sell the club, he needs to do it, cause I don't think we can go anywhere with the curent ownership.

You have some valid points, albeit over dramatised, what I must say is .....yawn.

First of all i am not using it against them its fact, we failed. secondly in which part of my post did i suggest we hang them ?

How many before the opening game of last season expected promotion? I certainly didn't. Hoped yes ... expected? Truth was we didn't know what to expect and with the mess the club was in could easily have slipped to mid table or lower. It was only down to the efforts of Donald, Methven, Ross and the players that didn't happen. That period set the target as promotion - I'm not sure we had the squad to sustain it and when Maja's goals weren't replaced our chances went too.

I think they want us to remain in league one for many years. No idea why! They’ve turned us into an average league one club. The sooner they are gone the better. Appointing Parkinson will be the beginning of the end for them. The fans need something to give them a lift. A long ball, boring dull manager who yes has achieved promotion from here before. 11 years apart but failed massively in the championship isn’t going to do that. It’s the cheapest option available to them and it’s looking like he’s also a yes man for the recruitment team (who for some bizarre reason are helping choose our next manager)
If it's Parkinson in would be hard to argue with any of this, the first thing any incoming manager should do is bladder Hill and Coton and those choosing him aren't going to go for someone who would do that ,it's a catch 22. That said whoever comes in needs backing regardless for the good of the team, Parkinson isn't inspiring at all but I don't think he's totally useless, he's proved he can organise and get a tune out of a rabble.

They did their part last season, did what they thought was best for the club. Selling Maja was a mistake, SD admitted to that. He did replace Maja with what was Ross's number 1 striker target. They've turned the club around to the point we're even being looked at for investment. They've made mistakes, they've both admitted to that. Whats really annoying is that all of a sudden we've become a fanbase of mass hysteria, with fans who dish out abuse to an owner based on some shite article in the Sun of all papers. The behaviour of some of our fans has been Mag like to say the very least.

By all means question them, but whats the point in even asking the question when people aren't even taking the response they are getting at face vaule? Calling them all sorts and saying they don't have the clubs best interest at heart when they literally have not a shred of evidence to prove otherwise.
Exactly right. I'm sure there are people on here that won't be happy unless we spend £30m and win every game 4-0. Think of the positives and think about where we were. We're 4 points off 2nd place with a game in hand. Of course we want to finish top 2 but it's October for Gods sake. Of course SD and CM have made mistakes but they've put us in a decent position where we are investible again. "If" this takeover happens and they walk away with a tidy profit then fair play to them. SD didn't take us over for a bit of fun, he's a football fan and a businessman. I'm pretty sure that he'll only sell to someone who can move our club forward and he'll leave it in a better position than when he took it over.

Well stop abusing them you silly sod, it's that simple, I never have and I'm sure there's thousands like me , that haven't.

The team needed pace and creativity in midfield. We signed George Dobson. We needed some pace on the wing, we signed Nee fucker. This recruitment team have signed 6 Centre backs. Sorry make that 7. We're weaker in both full back positions than last season.

It's not all bad though Willis looks decent as does McNulty.

How anyone can't see problems with recruitment is beyond me.

I'm not sure there's anyone who isn't seeing problems (we can even call them failings) and recruitment has probably been more culpable than football management in that but to suggest that the current owners have failed is plain wrong.

The same as me. I copied it though ;)

Can understand why they deleted it as it's fairly slanderous. Also noticed that the guy who posted it on facebook has deleted it too.

Who knows what is true and what isn’t but if that story I just read was true, I would question why the originator wanted to remain anonymous, and if as stated it had been sent to all of the press, why nobody had published it?

There seems to be a lot of mixing of some truth with some fiction to discredit both our club and owners at the moment. I don’t know why, but I have never seen anything quite like it in the past.

Add to that, some of the negativity from a section of our fans is starting to make David Moyes look like an optimist.

I would agree with that 100% Roger

Seems to me to be an attempt to undermine the current owners. Firm believer that if you believe in your convictions then don't be afriad to put your name to it. Can fully understand why it was deleted.

P.S> You still haven't told me why i got a warning for "innapropriate behaviour" ;)

it all seems to be getting completely out of hand, the RR podcast has caused all of this IMHO

Serious question ....where did Charlie go ? He went from almost daily rally cries to the very little. On the radio regularly ect ..now never hear from him .
For what it's worth , so far I think they have done ok ...thin the owner coming off social media was always going to happen at some points in his tenure. The odd appearance on the radio to keep us updated would probably do for most.their next few moves are crucial ..

Its almost like one of those mass hysteria events, but being played out online.

I am far from happy with where we are, but a few weeks ago the majority wanted Jack Ross gone. Now he has gone and it appears ‘we’ have already condemned the new manager, even though he hasn’t been chosen or appointed yet.

A couple of months ago from my perspective there wasn’t any takeover or investment in sight - I will be disappointed if it doesn’t happen, but we will be in no worse a position than we were back then, and I wasn’t screaming about it then.

I used to think I was a pessimist.

What is the current board's 'strategic' plan ?
It looks like they are trying to make as much cash as they can without too much thought about the future prospects of SAFC. Bob, the Irish lads and Short tried to move the club on to new owners they thought would be for the long term benefit of SAFC without too much concern on how much money they made on the deal.
