Donald and co!

How they’ve managed to clear the decks of historic failures while being a kick away from a (shite) cup and promotion is incredible. Rodwell, kone, dilly etc.

Managed to drive season ticket sales to a higher level than in the championship!

To have the club, In a position where billionaires are interesting in buying us is unbelievable! All this talk of Donald ruining a deal. We probably wouldn’t have a club if it wasn’t for these guys. And to think we are now abusing them, personally, makes me sick. It’s utterly pathetic. Have a word.

We look like a bunch of absolutely spoilt brats. Any fan outside this area would put us in the same bracket as Newcastle fans. No greater insult.

Not sure what all this stuff about the owners is all about , there seems to be a constant barrage of accusations against them without proof of anything

I've only seen posters discussing the sun article. I agree most are assumptions, no one seems to know what's going on, which isn't surprising.

I agree they shouldn't be getting abused and have probably done a good job off the pitch, although too much smoke and mirrors for anyone to honestly know how good a job they've done. However, a football club exists for what it does on the pitch and this is the area they've failed at so far and are now at a crossroads where they need to make one of the most important appointments in our history. And yet, it's looking like we're going for a cheap option in someone with a poor record who the vast majority of fans who've answered polls, don't want. They're gambling with the future of the club and that's without speculating on what has gone on with the investment/turnover saga.
The honeymoon period is over, they have to deliver, and quickly. They can't live on what they've allegedly done off the pitch financially, forever.

Which consortium? What was their bid? What did it involve? What was their strategic plan? Who was involved? How much they bid?

How am I supposed to know? I thought Armstrong was potentially involved, I really don't know. Mind all of your questions could be posed to the current owners and I wouldn't know what the answers are, do you? What's the current "strategic plan"?

We had the worst season in Sunderland AFC’s entire history last season. By a distance.

We’re currently 9th.

Newcastle fans are stupid because they’re whinging with their team in the premier league. We’re just above mid table in the third division.

But yay, ticket sales

How have we failed? You can’t just magic promotions. If you could, every club would try. They cleared the club of historic failures, lost the cup in a shootout and promotion to a last minute kick. They gave the manager 10 games, didn’t see an improvement, sacked him. They are now getting slated for taking the cheap option before theyve even appointed a f***ing manager!

How’s that Donald’s fault? He didn’t buy us in the premiership

This.

I read stuff constantly on twitter about them lying, being chancers, wanting out to make some quick cash etc and i've never seen one single bit of evidence to back it up. I said on another thread yesterday, if I were SD or CM and I didn't have an emotional attachment to the club, i'd sell to anybody to make a profit, regardless of their intentions for the club and be done with us as the constant accusations and abuse isn't worth it.

Even when he leaves twitter is taken as a "he's just running because theres bad news". No, how about he's getting a load of stick already and it doesnt matter what he says or does he's getting stick. The Sun release a story about him moving the goalposts of the investment deal and he's getting tweets of abuse straight away, because of an article in the f***ing Sun ffs. No wonder he's off twitter. Unless he gets Pep to quit City and join us, MSD take us over, SD gets no money for his initial investment and we instantly have £100 million to spend I genuinely don't think some people would be happy.

We finished 5th in league one and its October of the following season and we’re 9th.

I’m not the one criticising the club and owners without any information. I’m defending the club and owner outlet based on the facts

You've just asked "how have we failed" and then listed all of the failings  spectacular.

Too much smoke and mirrors?

You must be f***ing kidding??? We've had the most open chairman in the league and we've blown it because whatever he says gets torn to shreds. 18 months ago we had the silence that was Ellis Short. Show me another owner who does 3/4 fan podcasts a year, talk ins with fans, travels to away games with branches, goes in the away end with fans etc.
