Sunderland fans blocked from buying tickets for Wimbledon game

One would think AFCW would be grateful of the extra cash. In the early days in the Combined Counties League they were doing bucket collections!
They'll probably sell out the home allocation, with a potential for new fans who come to games in the future...

for the clubs we are likely to have a small allocation, buy a ticket now for one of their home games, then you have been on their database previously. if possible try to get it via a non-north east address

It was nowt to do with being on a database. I had nee purchase history but got one ok. They might have used that excuse but it was purely geographical.

A lot of clubs will probably do it, can’t see many of us who would be happy with people sitting in our end celebrating if we were getting battered.

I’ve done it before mind, didn’t enjoy it one bit.
The evening I spent with the home fans at upton park as we got smashed 5(or6?)0 was a real low point in my Sunderland watching career.

For all those people who have managed to secure a ticket in the Wimbledon end, I'd start swotting up on their club history/stats/famous players.

I've seen us do it with man Utd fans in the south stand, if they couldn't answer 3 basic questions on safc at the turnstile, they were refused entry.

Dickie Guy is now the President of AFCW

It was - definitely happened against Man U.

Unfortunately, iirc, some of the questions were a little tricky, so some SAFC genuine fans were refused entry!

That sounds f***ing mental though. If they've given you a ticket surely they can't get away with just not letting you in because you can't answer some questions. I've had times when I've been away with work and, having nowt else to do on the night, have ended up watching a random match. Went to a Doncaster game a while ago, I'd have been fucked if they'd asked me any questions about them but I'd have been annoyed if I'd been turned away because of it!

Aye. You could just explain that you're neutral. I've had similar with pubs. I live near Arsenal and you can get asked for your ticket on a match day to get in for a drink. Explaining that you're not going to the match doesn't seem to work.

Whilst no one ever really wants to sell footy tickets for a profit, would be a canny little number for one of our London based mob to act as a fence. Got to be worth the price of a pint for each buyer :)

Disgrace? How do you work that out?!

Should all League One clubs give their home ends over to bigger clubs?

Eh? Most teams have fans in the home end of the SoL?

I must have missed them all.
When we were in the PL I’d see a few Liverpool/Man Utd/Chelsea fans there (all with NE accents like  )
