Hang on these lads have been put inside for three year and the other for 7 months over a few small street deals. Mental and such a waste of an already stretched budget.

I'm guessing so and , that's even more mental.i'd imagine that they needed to be made examples of,with the hours / man power used.
a 'friend' once got 3.5 years for 1/2g of coke. £20 worth

Daft thing is someone else will just step straight in anyway, not exactly winning the war on drugs.
never will. not the ways things are, at present.
absolutely brazen now.
It's no different to having a pint these days. Society has accepted it as part and parcel of life.
think thats naive mateTarget? I'm willing to wager no drug dealer has ever 'targeted' anyone ever
think thats naive mate
think thats naive mate
when we were much younger and going to clubs and round town every week one of our lot was pretty well known for being able to sort people out for smoke/E/wizz... and we knew of a lad from redhouse who could always get gear and knew where to find him in town if anybody wanted anything, these were lads just sorting out mates, making a few quid and probably enjoying their popularity at the time.
Then we went down boro once and were "taxed" and couple of lads booted all over the place by some serious lads down there (one of the boro was killed not long after , drug related), and another time we ran into trouble with what i was told was Boss in and then outside shields boulevard , one of lads had jaw broken , all just seemed almost part and parcel of clubbin and stuff at the time but you were starting to realise it was a murky/seedy world where some were making serious money
Once get older and have kids you don't want to see drugs openly available , im sick of being asked "got any gear" when in town.. Fuck off man and get a life...
The dealers who are driving round Our town in there range rovers and bmws with private regs sellin gear hear there and everywhere, if you get caught out, man up and accept it.
Bit confused here. You used to participate when younger and the dealers were all canny lads. Now you don't want your kids involved the dealers are all predatory?think thats naive mate

i was Never a dealer mate , but yes i did see it in a different light when youngerBit confused here. You used to participate when younger and the dealers were all canny lads. Now you don't want your kids involved the dealers are all predatory?
The bad news is your kids will likely see it in the same light you did when younger.i was Never a dealer mate , but yes i did see it in a different light when younger
Or worse. The bad news is your kids will likely see it in the same light you did when younger.
I agree entirely mateThe bad news is your kids will likely see it in the same light you did when younger.
I take your point although I took a slightly different tack with the kids. They were probably going to try / experiment things so I didn't hide my own experiences and hoped they'd at least have some idea of what they were doing. They had their phases, to differing extents and were ok about owning up to it although no longer seem to have any interest.I agree entirely mate
point i was kinda trying to make was (and probably badly) , if i saw mine take drugs and found out who dealer was, I wouldn't just say no worries its supply and demand etc, I'd make sure I turned him over if I could and I think most parents would do the same, lot of them are low life who don't give a shite who they sell to and even what they are actually selling and the impact if it goes tits up
Or alternatively you're a little bit of a hypocrite?once you're older/wiser and have kids you have no pity for any dealers rumbled, after all they target young teenagers as well as adults
Impossiblei'd imagine that they needed to be made examples of,with the hours / man power used.

Can take it either way mate I won’t lose any sleep , I’m just saying my attitude about certain things changes as get older that’s all, I’ve no regrets from when I was younger, but a drug related incident couple year back where someone tragically died and I saw the affect that had and has had on others . Anyway that is all , I’m certainly not preaching or owtOr alternatively you're a little bit of a hypocrite?
