Sunderland AFC U21s v Tottenham Hotspur U21s

You’re being overly harsh here mind. We know the group wasn’t the best but it’s starting to get filled with better player and hopefully more added at the end of this year from our 18s. Would really say they are the same age as the players you mentioned either , 5 of that starting line up tonight were first year pros so either 18 or only just turned 19 and coming out of one of the best youth teams in the county. Like you can’t be comparing 18 year old Fieldson to 24 year old Ballard.
Don’t believe I am being harsh, forgot to mention Seelt Ba Pimbele, Rigg is a talent that’s obvious not seeing the same level of talent from that squad tonight, Triantis this was the best of the bunch and we paid fee for him.

I thought Hemir had a decent game, never really wasted the ball, got no service, mind, we're very poor in that department, (including the first team), I got the impression TM didn't care for Hemir, never gave him a chance, bar the odd 5/10 minutes, yet he played Burstow a good few times, and the lad looked well off the level, even in this game, he brought nothing to the table.

I think Murty’s assessment was fair and well expressed. But, looking at the highlights it seems obvious that their goals both came from basic errors. Also, we had a number of very good chances towards the end of the first half.

I thought there were some good performances, Fieldson and Jones in particular. Hemir gave a better showing. U21s always seem to concede early and give themselves a mountain to climb. Still not enough games being played at this level.
