Think it would be quite good to listen to some coach’s and welfare types about this. Do they almost need to hear a little bit of it as they grow up so that one day when they are droped in the first team it isn’t overwhelming if they get that slagging off? But like you say they are still kids really. I think on the whole the vast majority of people who are interested are really supportive of them. The whole thing all the way from when they join is probably quite mentally draining, all the time they have to commit to it, the will I get released or not, will I get my scholarship while at the same time as they do their GCSEs. I suppose it’s why they need a good family/support network round them and why the club need to as well. Sorry I’m babbling , just thought you brought up a good point.
