Imo I just feel like theres so many other charities / awareness raising campaigns that don't get anywhere near as much attention as they should.

At the end of the day we’re all people. Most of us are good people

and it’s great that sexuality is becoming less of a stigma, we should all be able to live our lives in anyway we want

a small percentage of the population disagree. Campaigns like this hopefully change a few minds, long term at least. Sadly they bring out the brain dead as well

Why should there need to be a campaign though it's as though we're been forced fed it

Personally doesn't upset me if a person is a homosexual lesbian or what ever

I just gan to the match to enjoy ( 😂 ) the football & be with my marras for a few hours

But it still strange no male footballer has come out

Once the initial uproar which our shite media will make sure of things will settle down

Nee one want to sit next to you on Saturday mate ?

I'm a lesbian trapped inside a man's body.
That's like double oppression. You need a medal.
Then I'll have a child, what do I care whether he's gay? We live in England 2019, not Qatar. I mean the club has kits made by Adidas, how are they treating workers/suppliers? And has been sponsored by multiple bookies, who are exploiting vulnerable people.

Then they want to tell me (and everyone else) to make sure we treat this group well. Which of course we should, but it's so particular that I find it cynical.
You must think the same as the hive mind at all times. Asking questions is hate speech.

I believe it’s Transgender Awareness Week.

I don’t get all this, surely having a ‘special’ week and all this attention defeats the purpose of people just accepting each other as normal. You can’t be treat normally if you have to have a special week and it’s only going to further annoy homo/transphobes while the people who don’t care, still just won’t care, which is the ideal stance.

This is where the thread has split people. Apathy is being labelled as hatred.

eh why ? just cos im sick of LGBT,Q why cant they just get on with life ?

That’s the point, some people are unable to, because of the casual ignorance other people have.

Down the decades, I've either seen, heard or experienced racism, sectarianism, antisemitism, xenophobia and homophobia. That's been broken down in no small part by awareness of the issues in the media.

As football clubs are very much part of the mainstream media these days (even us and our Netflix series) it's logical to include us in this.

If it encourages just one of our casual supporters to feel as though they are part of the club, by showing our awareness, and get to the SoL more regularly, it can only be a good thing for everyone.
