Why should there need to be a campaign though it's as though we're been forced fed it

Personally doesn't upset me if a person is a homosexual lesbian or what ever

I just gan to the match to enjoy ( šŸ˜‚ ) the football & be with my marras for a few hours

But it still strange no male footballer has come out

Once the initial uproar which our shite media will make sure of things will settle down
You aren't being force-fed it though Hank. Its a campaign, there are many like it. you can choose to take it on board or disregard it as you see fit marra. Personally, it's not an issue for me as a person's sexuality is their choice. I'm heterosexual, I've never suffered abuse or exclusion for my choice and I can't see or understand why anyone else should. Sadly it happens that's why these campaigns are necessary. My niece was gay and some of the treatment she received was terrible. One day we won't need to highlight the subject as everyone will accept it. I hope it happens in my lifetime.

 some of the replies man.

Get over it ffs. It’s a campaign aimed at promoting inclusion.

Football has always been discriminatory against those who aren’t White British males.

Any campaign to make the game more accessible and attractive to groups less represented to make them feel welcome should be encouraged.

But no a flag on Facebook is ramming it down your throat.

All this ramming things down people’s throats is leaving me a tad queasy.

I don't understand what relevance football has to who you want to buck. If this was Saudi Arabia I'd say fair enough some enlightenment is required, but we must be one of the most accepting countries in history.

Personally I'd like it if they didn't differentiate people, it seems to divide more than owt else.

Hate crimes against transgender people in Britain went up 37% last year.

So inclusive.

I’m proud we have some gay supporters but the guy who runs the SAFC pride thing, that Sam is a complete tosser

Whatever background of anyone else is of no concern of mine , gay , their colour or religion absolutely makes no difference to me .

I don't understand why anyone would say they were proud either , we’ve had gay supporters for years man , most of us don’t give it a moments thought.

Well said Marra

That’s the point, some people are unable to, because of the casual ignorance other people have.

Down the decades, I've either seen, heard or experienced racism, sectarianism, antisemitism, xenophobia and homophobia. That's been broken down in no small part by awareness of the issues in the media.

As football clubs are very much part of the mainstream media these days (even us and our Netflix series) it's logical to include us in this.

If it encourages just one of our casual supporters to feel as though they are part of the club, by showing our awareness, and get to the SoL more regularly, it can only be a good thing for everyone.
on this we agree, but I don't need it being made out to be a special item, its just part of every day life.
I am not homophobic and do not shout about my beliefs for all to hear.

Spot on nobody is forcing anything on anyone people get discriminated or abuse about it all the time which is why they do these campaigns promoting awareness can only be positive.

Dont let the truth cloud anyones views. We would never exist using that argument.
I’m personally worried at the shrinking population of the world
