love it how that is what 2 seasons and 7 goals buy you at Sunderland.

just completely forget the other season where he scored 11? goals that would make him look slightly better.

honestly couldn't give a shit. he might have bought it to make himself feel better which may have made him play better but now he's getting grief for spending his own money.

I'll admit i'm more at ease seeing him stood next to a flash motor than pouching a box full of doughnuts when he's on the injury list.
Odd world, eh?

He hasn't got the work rate or desire of Luis Suarez though so it's a moot point. Work rate and desire are a big part of a players make up. He doesn't have that in him. He'll score a couple of goals every now and then and then be a passenger for weeks or months. That's the player that Steven Fletcher is. It's no good asking him to be something he isn't to justify his reasons for buying a Lamborghini. I don't like it either but that's who he is. I'll be glad when he's gone, like most on here.

So work ethic and desire are innate qualities and can't be developed. Sorry mate but I think that's wrong. Some people are just lazy sacks of shit and some people are just super over achievers. But there's a big middle ground where people with ability can maximise that by concentrating fully, working harder than others and constantly looking to see where you can improve. Ronaldo did that, Gareth Bale did, Suarez did and Kane is doing it currently, but Fletcher strikes me as an individual who doesn't feel the need to push himself to his limits.

The usual stupendous lack of self awareness. I wouldn't be able to look myself in the mirror of a morning if I'd been as shit at my job for as long as he's been.

You might say it's his money, but the problem here is it's money that's been given to him by our football club in return for precious little. It's a shame contracts don't work both ways - he'd be driving a Lada.
He'd have a Nexus pass marra....;)

Relatively - Daft arse
Relative to what? Maybe look around a bit and see that there are people living in poverty all over the world. 50k a week for kicking a ball around a field? f***ing hell...

You've just named three of the best players in the world and someone who is looking like a superstar in the making. Steven Fletcher probably is lazy and thinks he's made it but I think I'm in a minority when I say I'm not fooled by crap players giving their all. They're still crap players and no amount of hard work will mask that fact. I'd rather have a quality player who is lazy as fuck. Unfortunately Steven Fletcher is neither. I just want to say once again, I'm not sticking up for him and I look forward to the day we have a better player. I just don't see the point in asking him to be something he isn't and I certainly don't care that he drives a Lamborghini.

Those are qualities a shelf stacker from Morrisons can show every Tuesday at any 5-a-side league in Britain. He can put more effort in if he wants to, if he doesn't then it has fuck all to do with ability and all to do with attitude.

Don't mind him buying the car but don't stick it on Twitter or cup ya lugs when you score a goal after a couple of months of nowt.

Showing his wealth off reminds me of David Gold, who I detest for always making sure his helicopter is in shot when he is interviewd at his home.

I always chuckle when I think of that sleazy twat who had hull. One sunday morning he was interviewed having a coffee infront of his helicopter on his lawn announcing hull were the next big thing. Theyd just won at arsenal.

7 months later they were a cha mpionship club.
