Are you retarded, would never sell bardo and bramble, that would be going backwards. As for loaning out Mignolet and signing soreson, you must be on something there mate, Mignolet is young and been great for us this season, why would we disregard such a good asset especially for a keeper like Sorenson who is well past it and cant regulary get in a team like stoke!

So if we sell Bardsley and Bramble and replace them with Distin and Hutton we'll be going backwards?

I'm not disregarding Mignolet at all.
I'd sign Sorenson as cover for Gordon and Westwood and loan Mignolet out to give him more experience.

I think not.

well, errrmm, yes...

Mignolet is getting experience with us, why loan him out?

What you'll see this summer will be SAFC bringing in experienced prem players on low cost deals, hard workers, young talent from lower leagues, tarnished reputations and no massive money purchases. Personally I'm looking forward to it.

Fletcher will be too rich for SAFC (plus I'm not convinced by his workrate). I'd expect MON to be more interested in Doyle for a quarter of the price - no more than £2.5m. We need experience and hard work up front. Doyle will provide that for a very reasonable price.

I too am fairly sure that Sess will go, unfortunately. I'd expect that SAFC will join the bunfight for Victor Moses as replacement. It would be a deal that has more than a little of the Ashley Youngs about it. Add in the suggestion that he'll be available at a knock down price and I think we'll be chasing that one hard.

Similarly, Matt Phillips. He's a big strong lad who will work the line hard with a fair bit of pace. He also looks to have a goal in him. Expect him to add options to a new look front three.

Back to Wigan, I can see us having a long look at Maynor Figueroa on a bosman. Again he's got good experience and, despite a fairly torrid 2010 and 2011, he has regained some form in recent months. He will provide options in the only position where we currently lack numbers.

Over and above that I can't see too much. Perhaps a cut price deal for Petrov to add experience to a young midfield. Probably another experienced defender to replace Bramble. Any other additions may well come from the youth team (Laing, Adams, Egan, Noble, Knott, Cook etc.).

2012 Squad

GK: Mignolet; Westwood; Wilson

Def: Bardsley; Richardson; O'Shea; Brown; Turner; Kilgallon; Figueroa;

Mid: Catts; Colback; Vaughan; Meyler; Gardner; Larsson; Petrov

Att: Moses; Phillips; Doyle; McClean; Campbell; Wickham; Ji

Twenty four in the first team squad will be more than enough for MON. He doesn't really rotate so any more than that and we'll have too many pissed off pro's kicking their heels in the stands. Perhaps Ji might get a loan in the first half of the season - along with other promising young players.

Bardsley is shit, can't pass a ball and just hoofs it.
Hutton get's forward and passes to his team mate.

Because I'd rather have Gordon and Westwood.
Loan Mignolet out to a lower prem side give him experience for a full season and have him back for the season after next.

Hutton is shit, I'd honestly rather have Bardsley and in not a fan of Bardsley at all.

And mig is better than Westwood imo

Is he really shit?
I'm going by when he was with us the other year and he did well.

It's close between them but with Mignolet's age I'd loan him out for experience and keep Westwood as cover.

Fuck me, I wouldn't sell Mignolet.

I'd keep him on our books but loan him out to give him experience for a full year.

Keep Gordon and Westwood then sign a cheap old keeper to get us by for the year Mignolet is out on loan.

Gordon and Westwood have proved to be good keepers at this level as has Mignolet but with Mignolet's age I'd loan him out as he is very young and would benefit more from being out on loan and would imrpove him instead of being on the bench.

If O'Neill thinks Mignolet is his number 1 then fair enough but I still think Gordon is our best keeper.

He will had two year's experience in the PL come the end of this season, having already proved that he's more than capable. Don't think he needs another year of experience in a lesser league like.
