That was very uncomfortable to watch. He alluded to there being cliques (little groups) and urged that everyone must pull in the right direction "from the top to the bottom of the club".

Aye cos the natural progression is selling twenty Rothmans to Jack from round the corner to running a department store in the blink of an eye.Where do you think John Lewis managers started out?
Its quite interesting that. After the check a trade final at wembley I was in Kings Cross Station and went in the first class lounge for a bite to eat ( yes, look at me !! ). Anyway who should be in there but the whole SAFC squad, with Jack Ross and the backroom staff. All of the players were standing together, chatting etc and looking fine ( despite the result the day before ). They all seemed relaxed about chatting with me and other fans. Except 1 person, and that was Grant Leadbitter who was sat alone, face tripping him and not talking to anyone. I actually went over to Grant and said “ haway mate, cheer up a bit man “ to which he grunted and put his head down. This is not a one off as he did exactly the same in the pre match warm up at South Shields in the friendly. I am thinking that its perhaps Mr Leadbitter who needs to give his head a shake a bit - and to be honest I think he is well past his sell by date anyway. He alluded to there being cliques (little groups) and urged that everyone must pull in the right direction "from the top to the bottom of the club".
Maybe he is having trouble processing what has happened to the club which he is firstly a supporter of, and secondly a player for. Maybe he thinks what happened the day before wasn’t something he could shrug off. Maybe he knows more about what is going on than we do. Maybe he just gives a shit. I’ve no wish to come across as contentious mate, more just thinking out loud. I won’t argue against him being past his prime, I didn’t think signing him was a good idea for us, but primarily for him. In his defence it can’t be easy knowing that physically you just can’t do it anymore when there are those around you that can, but aren’t.Its quite interesting that. this is the bottom line, if we were top two and playing well, people wouldn’t give a shiney
About a week after his mam died, fairly reasonable to not be on top banter form. Its quite interesting that. He also praised Sunderland supporters more than once, but you ommitted that bit...

Had a few sly digs at the fans.I haven't seen a Leadbitter interview , what was said in that ?
Yes he said last night that the business plan was to repay it over 4 years basically, I can’t recall the exact split.
Would be interested to know if that’s happened or not.
It does also raise the question of what we need a loan for if we are getting this years parachute payments and the £5m SD is paying in we should have loads of money.
He says that after watching Leadbitter's interview the other day he decided to cut short his time away and return. I wonder what part of Leadbitter's interview concerned him the most? I'm hoping its about the dressing room atmosphere, ie cliques forming between certain players.
I think that was what it has cost him so could include purchase price and what he has put in?He also says he's put 20 million in. I took this to be recently as at the last RAWA meeting in the summer Methven said the 10 million that was took out wouldn't be paid back.
No idea why that would be paid in or if it includes what he owes back. The way he was talking was if he'd just invested it all out the goodness of his heart.
He said cliques from top to bottom which suggests it isn't just the players. I'd says Donald was top and it's made him rush back so....
he'll be shitting bricks at that declaration.I was somewhat reassured, by listening to SD last night. However this is what he does well, pacify the middle masses. I think he probably deserves the benefit of the doubt, but make no mistake failure to deliver in January will be the end of my patience.

This, have a listen because everyone will interpret differently.
People on here hate him and have agendas, best to make your own mind up.
The only questions he needs to answer is why the summer transfer window was so shockingly poor and addressed none of the issues we had and exacerbated others. if he feels Ross was backed, then what does he personally think of our recruitment "strategy"Several notes I jotted down.
Madrox owes Donald £20m and FPP £10m?!
Juan offered to pay them the loan money.
Haven’t skimpt on buying players?!
Plan on investing in whole area.
Methven/Donald have contradicted each other over the investment/loan.
Investment for players planned in January.
The insult matter handled well by him, and can be put to bed.

I don’t think it’s fair to say he was talking as if he had invested it from the good of his heart he was answering a very direct question from the presenter.
RAWA have another meeting with the club soon hopefully they can get a bit more clarity.
Agree. I don't know how we have got to this stage where so many people on here and on social media are calling the owners "chancers" and " a cancer". It's probably frustration at events on the pitch, but I don't know how anyone can be in any doubt that SD has the club's best interests at heart
The club owed Ellis Short £100m. He wanted to sell the club to Donald, but have the club then owe Donald £100m
Donald said he didn't want that "debt" to be owed to him, so Ellis wiped it off.
