Several notes I jotted down.
Madrox owes Donald £20m and FPP £10m?!
Juan offered to pay them the loan money.
Haven’t skimpt on buying players?!
Plan on investing in whole area.
Methven/Donald have contradicted each other over the investment/loan.
Investment for players planned in January.
The insult matter handled well by him, and can be put to bed.
Richard Hill saved the club.
If the loan isn’t repaid then the Americans take over. Says he can’t say what the date for repayment is.
Many, many sly digs at the fans.
Parkinson has apparently been told to get Grigg scoring goals again.
No he did't he said that £25 m was what was owed to Madrox...He used ,from what I can see at the minute to buy the club.Both could be true.
It was £25m and yes he did.
He explained it very clearly. Ellis wanted the money up front they used the parachute payments to pay £25m and he would put it back in over the next four season, can’t remember the exact split by year.No he did't he said that £25 m was what was owed to Madrox...He used ,from what I can see at the minute to buy the club.

- The loan has been secured against the owners of Maddrox (Donald, Methven, Sartori), if they default on payments, FPP will take ownership of Maddrox and Maddrox in effect own the club;
- Upset at being called a "chancer", said for the most part the fans have been absolutely fantastic, it's only a few, particularly on social media I assume that he has taken distaste to (I'm paraphrasing). But is amazed by the loyalty and believes the fans within the North East are the best in the world (mags included);
- Accepts that Grigg has been poor, but it's up to Parkinson to try and get him scoring and realising the form he showed the last time he was in league one;
- The American's investment appears as though it's a long term committment and they have ideas of investing in Sunderland and the wider North East area. The £10m loan is a test if you like to see how well the money can be invested efficiently, no objectives were mentioned, but I imagine the money or an element of the loan will be invested in January with the aim of getting us promoted;
- He reiterated what Methven said about Parkinson, explaining that the interview had went very well and Parkinson is highly regarded in the football world, they felt his experience working in this league would be of benefit;
- Had taken some time away from football as his parents have been ill, he mentioned his sister had passed away, but unsure if this was recent. He added that after watching Leadbitter's interview the other night he has decided to cut his time away short and his family understands.
- Both him and Sartori have enough money between them to comfortably run the club and have money to spend in January. The acceptance of the loan was to ensure the American Group remained invested.
- He commended Hill for the work he's done to date.
- Overall, still very much committed to the club, accepted he's made mistakes, but he's got to live by them and make sure the current situation is rectified, he realises things aren't good right now, but noted that we are still within touching distance of the playoffs and with games in hand could be challenging for automatic promotion. He commented that January is a big month and we need to bring in the right players.
Both could be true.

I would urge fans to listen and judge for themselves as some of the things said on here by bitter folk completely miss the tone of the conversation.
He is a terrible speaker and comes across very badly. He waffles and repeats himself, stumbling over his words as he goes.
This gives the impression that he's not being truthful - who knows?
PR not his forte.

I'm nee expert but if there's a tax benefit to that debt Short probably just shifted it to another company and used the benefit there.I'm still unclear about the £100m+ debt the club had. He basically re-iterated what he said in his very first press conference;
"Ellis was very clear that he didn’t want the debt, but we didn’t want the debt either so we refused that benefit – it is only a paper tax benefit, but nonetheless it leaves Sunderland with that debt – so we said to Ellis ‘no, you wipe it, we won’t take it’ and the reality is that the club is debt-free which hopefully for the fans and everybody is good news."
Can someone explain how you simply refuse a £100m+ debt?
He should give Bruce a ring and find out how he got Joe Linton belting them in left right and centre.
What radical thinking. I bet Phil Parkinson had never thought of getting his main striker to score goals.
Agree. I don't know how we have got to this stage where so many people on here and on social media are calling the owners "chancers" and " a cancer". It's probably frustration at events on the pitch, but I don't know how anyone can be in any doubt that SD has the club's best interests at heartSeveral notes I jotted down.

The club owed Ellis Short £100m. He wanted to sell the club to Donald, but have the club then owe Donald £100mMost telling for me was that he also briefly conceded that they perhaps should've started recruiting scouts 6 months ago. He seemed to acknowledge that the transfer business hasn't been the best and said that it is clear that money will need to be spent in January. That's what I wanted to hear.

Short didn’t want anything for it, but technically the club would still have owed it. It would have meant the new owners could have taken money out of the club as repayments of debt.I'm nee expert but if there's a tax benefit to that debt Short probably just shifted it to another company and used the benefit there.
Donald can talk up that they turned down that benefit for the good of the club, but ha'way nobody would have taken on a L1 club with £100m of debt and if he couldn't work with it Short wouldn't have taken it with him.
Top post.Those of a nervous disposition should ignore the first nine pages of the SD stream. The programme hadn't even started, but was full of conjecture, accusations and the ever present 'keyboard commandos' doubling the thickness of their camouflage.
