Everyone in the PL is so far down the rabbit hole they don't even know they're there. Simon Jordan was laughing his tits off on Talksport earlier at the mere possibility that fans would demand lower ticket prices as it made zero commercial sense, this was in relation to Spurs average ticket price being well over £100. This was a game of the people, but it now costs £4k a year to take a family of four to the football for one season at Spurs.
Owners of mid-table PL teams are now foolishly more incentivised to knock back regulation than the top 6 as they want to pull up the draw bridge to protect their place in gravy train despite the current structure pretty much ruling them out of ever challenging for the title.
The game needs either a genuine reset - or let those that want to go off and form a Super League that will eventually eat itself whilst the majority of fans =, i.e. fans of the other 100+ clubs across the UK, can go back to enjoying football as a propert affordable day out with a genuine chance of winning something.
