Go right through the coaches at all levels on the Valencia site - he's not there. The lad was there as a player for one season twenty years ago. His coaching career has been spent in Sweden.

The reason I suggested linkedin is because I suspect the Valencia site is current.

You know it man, I've been saying it for months. Keano.

Out of those who have been mentioned though I'm with you and I'd give Phillips a go. I wouldn't be against Monk like but think he'll be off to Boro.
 More chance of Sam coming back.

I've never been a fan of Monk, but I've warmed to him in the wake of the McInnes story.

Btw I'd love us to have more of a local lads policy.
I've had umpteen arguments on here concerning the moving on of Leadbetter and Waghorn who years later don't seem to be any worse than the shite getting a game for us last season. When the fees involved arriving at this situation are taken into account it's obvious why we're in the mess we're in. Gardner, Rodwell, Vaughan are and were no better than Leadbetter and Grant actually gave a fuck about us.
If a player isn't a definite upgrade on the first team player then he shouldn't be bought. I'd love us to be keeping the kids for as long as possible even if only as squaddies AND buying NE lads who have slipped through the net.

The mags fucked up by allowing Clark, Watson, Elliott etc to leave and not bringing Stone and Hutchison home in place of Gillespie and Beadesley. Thankfully.

A local or home grown squad base is essential IMHO even if some are bought in ala Cattermole and Graham. I know Graham's a bad example but he illustrates the principle.

Agree with most of this but nee mag supporters. Never ends well.

It seems so obvious that this is the best route for clubs our size. All it really takes is a couple of players you've brought through to have a good season and you can cash in for £40m upwards.
Thin Southampton may have beaten us to it by 10 years.

2nd on down.
Ahhh - the pic doesn't come up on the actual profile - just in the search. Me Linkedin account was being a twat beforehand (I don't use it).

Well perhaps it is him, but anyway, there's absolutely frig all on there with regards to his coaching experience. Not a thing.

Aye. hard to get much info on it. Maybe @gillythedilf could shed some light?

FIFA should set a salary cap that no player under 18 can earn more than £1000 a week and no player under 21 can earn more than £5000 a week.

That would help stop all the top clubs hoovering up potential by blowing smaller clubs out the water with wages.
