Think BBC4 showed the movies a while back though not sure how many of them they had on. It was mentioned in the Scandi drama thread, I think. @errant will know.

BBC4 showed all three of them middle of last year, three weeks in a row...

Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Fares Fares are currently filming The Purity Of Vengeance (the 4th & final one by the current production team), out later this year...

This article reckons Nordisk Film may make six more films...

Thing is about this case is that they can't really prove one hundred per cent that he killed her so he may not be found guilty of that. But he is bound to be found guilty of how he got rid of her body and also a minor verdict on stuff about sailing the submarine too close to other ships above the submarine possibly endangering other people. There is also the sexual thing that he could be found guilty of. If found guilty of killing her I reckon his defence team will try to get a prison sentence where the other side would probably go for a sectioning with an unlimited year span. If found guilty and handed a prison sentence he could get anything up to life in prison. But even with that he could seek release after twelve years. A sentence of Life in Prison here means the person on average will be in prison for seventeen years.

He will get the verdict tomorrow but am not sure his sentencing will be known at the same time.

Her parents gave a long interview for telly a couple of weeks back. It was heart-breaking to watch.

I really feel for her family, what a nightmare to be living through. I think the fact Madsen had snuff porn, a known anger problem, coupled with the fact her body was found with stab wounds to her genital area then later dismembered will speak volumes. He lied constantly, his story changed like the wind - first she was hit on the head by the sub hatch, then she died another way........the poor woman must have been terrified, she died horribly and I hope he gets what he deserves.

And on top of all that they had to sit through each day in court including the days where photos of their daughter's body parts were shown and listening to experts saying what is likely to have happened to her before and after she died. I cannot begin to imagine how they must have felt.

Urgh, I don't think I could have done that tbh, their poor girl (they can never unsee those images). My desire to hurt the creep would've been very strong too, hope he rots.
