I suppose quite a few rec'd a letter from the club today outlining some news but maybe others haven't so here's a summary of some of it.

btw the title of this thread is a subtitle from the letter.

Financial:
Position is the strongest it's been since 2010 driven by the restructuring and a huge reduction in interest payments (reduced by 90%
The club received the most performance related funding from the ECB of all Counties.Events and conferencing have increased making the riverside a year-0round operation.
All hospitality boxes, suites and rooms were sold out for England's IT20 against the Windies.
Once the year-end processes are complete a further update will be made available on the web site

Community Engagement:
Lots a projects and kids and girls cricket blah blah
We are due to receive planning permission for the Nursery Ground and the Riverside
While there was only a small financial benefit for the well-attended concerts (Rod Stewart and Little Mix) we recognise the wider community benefits blah blah blah

Team Performance:
7 game unbeaten run, just missed out on the quarters of One-Day cup .... blah blah
Cameron Steel, Graham Clark, Matthew Potts and Liam Trevaskis made good progress with the latter two called up into the U19 England setup

Paul Collingwood!

Many thanks and best wishes to Graham Onions, Paul Coughlin and Keaton Jennings etc

Brand and Marketing:
The website is to be revamped and relaunched before the end of year thanks to David Jackson who arrived from SAFC. Website will compete with the best in terms of information, design, navigation and promotion.
New ticketing system.
T20 Blast attendances were up around 18% year on year and season tickets up 40%
Following Members Forum we are committed to invest in a new PA system, adding seats into out memorial garden (what memorial garden?) and improving general ground maintenance (the trapdoor stand presumably).
