Last night in the pub a few of us had a friendly disagreement with regards to what might happen at the end of the season. The question was "what would you rather happen, lose to West Ham last game of the season to send the mags down"? or "beat West Ham to qualify for the Europa League and the mags stay up"? 2 lads said the first outcome, 3 said the second. I could not believe anyone would rather see the mags go down than us qualify for europe but after talking about it at work today, other people had the same view as my 2 mates.

Sunderland every time. The mags would get theres on the second season syndrome rule anyway.

There's many on here would be happy to see us go down if it meant we got to the final of the league or fa cup.
Your debate doesnt surprise me in the least.

I can understand that more as atleast it meant Suunderland (the team we all support) possibly getting a bit glory/success but to sacrifice possible success just so the mags suffer seems a bit twisted to me.

Why would you want the Mags to go down :eek::eek:

The two most exciting games of our season.
It appears you pricks have an identity problem.

Europe man. I would have a party in my pants if we ever got to Europe. F'in Europe!

Sod them dirty black and white b@stards, couuldn't give a toss what they are doing as long as we are doing better

agree..i'd prefer a season of gloating than a few games against unpronouncable former communist states teams

the mags would be more pissed off that we were in euorpe than a higher league and we would most likely reach the group stage at least

Those who answer 'Mags to go down' would change their minds about 10 minutes before kick off ....... guaranteed ;)

Sunderland fans pride themselves on having a bit more class than the mags, therefore europe without question.

true..but that europa league is a minefield theres that many games think you can play 20 games iirc and still not be in the final,,if it was a knock out competition then great
