I know and I get the impression that half the smb agree with you on Moyes. My opinion is we have got to stop changing managers every season and Short has backed this up with a 4 year contract.
It's worked though changing manager how we've stopped up

Keeping Moyes will have us in league one before he's done

Its been a culmination of poor management thats got us here not Moyes. The costs of players salaries is crippling us, hence the line in the sand. Shorts statement along with a 4 year contract is where we are going. We all need to show our support through thick or thin and I believe we need to show Moyes some respect.

I was led to believe respect is earnt by actions not reputation from eons ago.
He's failing badly in all aspects and there is nothing to suggest he can pull us out of this 'vortex'.
Macmenemy arrived with a similar reputation..ie keeping a club punching above its weight for years.

Moyes can get fucked I'll back the team but not him

At what cost though? Every time you have changed manager he has had a different philosophy which has rendered key players brought in by the manager that has just left not effective under the new manager's philosophy. Five years of staying in the league at any cost has ironically possibly cost you more financially than ducking out after the second year and rebuilding has.

The manager with seeming the most ability available that is interested mightn't always be the best replacement.

imo the man doesnt get enough praise for that.

Moyes fans wont agree but hed go up in my estimation if he just fecked off and admitted hed bitter off more than he can chew/has insufficient fire in his belly.

Destroying our club/fanbase.

If Short had brought Strachen in there would have been a riot on here, even if he used the idea that if it didn't work out he would be cheap to move on.

Well there's some dollops of spin there.

The "top half form" of last season translated to 4 wins from February onwards. We looked solid but until that second half against Chelsea we didn't look anything special. We also had Mvila, Yedlin, Cattermole, Kirchoff and Kaboul, none of whom have been available to Moyes.

Also, the "brilliant" end to the previous season was no different to brilliant finishes under Poyet, Advocaat and O'Neill, which disintegrated the next season.

The negativity thing about his comments is just silly, Saint Sam was just as negative in the press.

The lack of a second striker is a problem, but we did try and again, we were fucked by our lack of funds.

Look, I'm not saying Moyes is brilliant or that I'm even convinced he's worth keeping; I'm genuinely not sure about him. I just think there's more to it than just simply saying he's dreadful. He's been dealt a shockingly bad hand, but he hasn't played it well I agree.
Do draws not count as points like? What brilliant end to a season did we have under O'Neill? To say his negativity isn't a problem is ridiculous Big Sam still targeted points against good sides Moyes doesn't.

Moyes had Kaboul and sold him. Brought in 2 right backs, neither as good as Billy Jones. Spend £13M to replace M'Villa, the bloke has taken 5 months to find his feet and he still isn't as good.

You said yourself we looked solid under Sam, this was for 4 months not a last few games of the season purple patch. It was completely different to previous seasons, we'd built a foundation of not losing games. We haven't looked solid all this season. We've been either shit or very inconsistent under Moyes, mostly the former.

You have any evidence of his involvement in that?

Moyes arrived here in late July. Kaboul left on August 19th, more than 3 weeks later.

We didn't have a director of football until November. Who sold him, the f***ing tea lady?

Moyes is our manager and I respect him for taking on the job. He's our manager for the next three seasons so we all need to show him some respect.

He wasn't likely to turn down the only offer he had at £50K a week. He's hardly earned a penny of it thus far.

If he lasts 4 years he'll have had a degree of success after early failures. I suspect he'll be out by Xmas.

He left due to 'personal circumstances' no evidence that Moyes wanted shot of him.

I didn't say that Moyes wanted to sell him but the manager will have the final say. We sold him on the cheap with no like for like replacement lined up.

Moyes tried to fill the hole with Papy and Denayer, 2 inexperienced players. Awful management.

So what, maybe the reason for him allowing it can be justified.

I don't think Denayer is too bad at the back.

He's a kid, very average at best at this level at this stage of his career.

Kaboul was an experienced leader who'd built a partnership with Kone. He was left sided centre half so he was important in covering for and talking to PVA.

We needed to make Kaboul stay until at least January or bring in a Michael Dawson or someone of that ilk. As I said very poor management.
