Id quiet like Moyes to stay.

Any particular reason?

All I hear is 'well he did well for years at Everton'. Lawrie McMenemy did well for years at Southampton!

Your previous experience only gets you a job but that's when the hard work begins. Moyes has done nothing at all to suggest he can replicate his Everton days here just like McMenemy couldn't before him.

imo the man doesnt get enough praise for that.

Moyes fans wont agree but hed go up in my estimation if he just fecked off and admitted hed bitter off more than he can chew/has insufficient fire in his belly.

Destroying our club/fanbase.

My all time favourite mutant manager

Turned them from top of the table contenders after Southgate left to relegation certainties
I actually cried when he left

Maybe Moyes thinks he can turn it around. If you think, over the term of your contract, you can be a success, you won't just walk away. Strachan obviously didn't have any such confidence. Plus, if Moyes was to walk then all his last three jobs would go down as failures and he'd struggle to get a shot anywhere decent (and certainly not on the same money) so he'd be daft to walk away from it

He might have the self belief/"fire in his belly" to think that he can turn the club around, hence not quitting.

i'm not a Moyes outer but as comparisons go that's pretty much near the mark, experienced, respected managers, who for whatever reason just seem to lose their mojo when turning up here

How much money do you think Moyes is on? Conservatively, I'd say £50k.

There's no way Short is paying £7.5m+ to bin him and I'd keep him even if you are relegated. Give him a chance to reshape the squad.

Moyes would only get about half his contract paid up if we peddle him. Almost no manager get the full whack. We've never had any hassle getting rid of managers. They've all gone very quietly so the payoff must be set in stone in the contract.

The mags were threatened with court by both Bobby Robson and Keegan for trying to give them poor payoffs.

Moyes is our manager for the next three seasons. Lets show some respect.

I just don't think he is underperforming given the factors that have been in place. All about how difficult you perceive the job to be I reckon.

I'm looking long term and to do so you would have to look at what people have done before surely? I concede he hasn't over performed but I would be happy to provide far more time to see if he can do so.

Financially we're ruined, we know this and he is a very good coach, I strongly believe a coach is needed instead of a stay away manager (MoN, Dick) or a data analyst (Sam) to improve our youngsters.

I believe that had everyone been honest with each other 5 years ago, the last few seasons would have been far less frustrating and we wouldn't be in the perilous position we are now. Moyes and the current set up are trying to do this without facing a major backlash.

There are other reasons and I could go into more detail but I know you and many others are staunchly against so you probably wouldn't care or at least not have the same opinion.

Agreed. There's people on here talking about redundancies etc so can't see Short sacking him and giving him his big pay off. We're going down anyway imo (bottom line is we're just not good enough). I'd give Moyes the chance to see how he does in the championship after a total turnaround of players in the summer. But like i say, thats my opinion and tbh im pretty apathetic to it all now so if he is given the bullet then whatever.

Moyes will have us in league one

So no valid reason then. Just a hunch that he may get it right if given more time despite no evidence to suggest he will.

Fair enough but not very likely IMO.

I can see why some would think that but in my opinion they are harsh in there judgment. Considering the factors we haven't done badly under him in my opinion but of course we haven't over performed. There is no one I can think off realistically that suits our plight better than he.
Surely you're taking the piss?

I know a lot of our fans don't have big expectations, but that just takes the biscuit. We've done absolutely shite under him. He's on course to be our worst premier league manager since Mccarthy, and that's saying something considering the other knackers we've had since him.

Just what would he have to do for you to think we had done badly under him? Lose every game so far, and not just 18?

"We haven't done badly under him" nearly choked on my cornflakes!
