Stopping Bannan

Slightly overplayed how good he is like, Sheff Wed dont win every game,

I know its not a popular view, and although I thought we played well on Friday, I think we might regret not going for the 2nd goal more

That is what the players felt after the game. The second was there in the first 20 of the second half, but we didn't get it

I was disappointed after the game that we didn't get the second. 1-0 is tight whereas 2-0 puts a bit of pressure on

They don't like us breaking at them that's for certain. We do need to tighten up on the left for me like but that should also be an opportunity to get Pritch and Roberts a bit closer to Stewart and get at them.

I just think people praising us and O'Nien for "stopping Bannan", I mean that has its merits for sure, and they did that job well, but there is also an argument that we gave them a big too much respect, and having another attacking player on, at least initially, could have got us another goal

I don't think its a case of not going for the second goal. We scored slightly unexpectedly at the time and hammered them trying to get the second goal. However there are two teams in the game, both good teams at that level and they put in a huge defensive effort with loads of blocks and throwing bodies on the line. They weathered the storm and got a foothold in the game. The double substitution wasn't until the 78th minute and we still had a couple of chances after that. We tried to win the game by more than one goal but we couldn't manage it.

I mean as 90 mins as a whole though, including the 45 mins before the goal when we didnt create much.

I thought we played well but maybe showed them too much respect in the first half, so when I mean "not go for 2nd" what I mean was, like didnt attack more first half tbh, as I agree we grew in confidence.

Just a minor observation I felt that at home, Embleton or Neil would have been a better bet than O'Nien, who I would play tonight btw.

We’ve quadrupled his value on here over the past week or so- made him into a world-beater. I think Pritch is better

Need a really cunning plan.
Leave a Bannan-a-skin outside the away dressing room. He’s first out, he slips and rolls his ankle…and is totally bannonamous during the first half, eventually subbed for a 17 year old. We win 8-7 on pens. Foolproof.
