Stonehenge of the North

There's a stone circle on the Derwent walk. Dunno if it's recent or back to the druids though. There'll be loads of others.

Anyone who thinks Ripon isn't Northern really has neither a grasp of the English North/South divide, nor basic geography.

It isn't even close to the midlands, never mind the south.
Some people have a weird complex over the Northness of places. Some think that anything south of Tyne & Wear isn’t the north.

Its the same in the south aswell. Really weird territorial stuff.

There's obviously the "Watford Gap" thing. That's really a decent place to draw the line, but thick shites think its in/near to Watford, rather than Northampton.

There's no way you can suggest Ripon isn't in the North though. Its in Yorkshire, which is the north by any definition.
