I think they've been generally ok on that thread to be honest. Pointing out how shite their form is and fairly self deprecating. They do seem to have an inferiority complex about the relative size of our clubs however. Oh and for all the Stokies reading this, it's not 35,000 or 40,000,.......it's an average of over 42,000 this season. ;)

Mags

You are obviously correct on having the bigger gates.
I would like to offer a few mitigating circumstances. We are one of 8 cities in the UK that have 2 league clubs , someoneonce estimated/calculated that if the Vale got in the Prem (! ) they could expect 10 to 12 thousand gates. My point bring as a city we don't do too badly when you think that the other 2 club cities are London , Manchester, Liverpool etc. Secondly except for isolated seats we have sold out virtually every game this year. Thirdly as with many areas we suffer greatly from unemployment (as you do) I have many friends who cannot afford to go , even if there was capacity. Like yourselves we are a proud working class club and have retained that fan base, which is why we may seem rough. We are proud of Sir Stan . Also within just over one hours travel are the Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham clubs, Anyone half way between the two would tend to be attracted by the glory of those clubs. Football and our club means as much to us as yours do to you. Forums are not representative of all fans.
We have been shocking recently.

Can't understand the media love in with them. They have signed a couple of fancy dan foreign reserves in bojan and shakiri, neither of whom has set the league alight, and all of a sudden they are going to be the next barcelona. They are wildly inconsistent, and are just as likely to be utter shit and get tonked as they are to win a game. All in all, they might finish a place or two higher in the league than the baseball capped messiah used to get them with dreck like danny collins and dean whitehead in the team.

Not any different to that which is posted by many of our own. Embarrassing.
Eh? If anyone posts on the this forum that Sunderland get gates of 35000 then they're as wrong as they are. No?

I absolutely cannot give two shits about Stoke City. Boring nothing club, never achieved much, reached their peak. Minging ground, boring little place with nothing to do and the people are generally thick. Famous for pots :lol:
We have a few thick ones on here to Mate...not to mention some Mags & Chemical's on here!!!lol

I don't mind Stoke, they came up to the PL and have cemented their place there. For all our big crowds and history we keep hearing about, we haven't done as well as Stoke in recent years. I like watching them more than many other PL sides, despite what people may say about their style of football.

I don't go to other fans' forums, but I'd hardly expect a love in for us or anyone but their own club. Why are people surprised when they read negative things on rivals' forums?

If any Stoke fans are reading - hello there, you splendid bunch of chaps! Jolly nice to have you here.

Boring ****

Oh no, this shit again. I was glad they'd moved on from us and had 'bigger fish' to fry since they won't really see us as rivals for league positioning anymore.

It's a rivalry purely on and restricted to Internet forums. Hooliganism for geeks.
