Re: Stoke are still whining about our "cheating" midfielder

Have to stop reading Oatcake as their comments regarding Myler's "faking" just irritates the shit out of me. Out of all of our players, only Catt's is less likely to exaggerate an injury, yet they insist on regurgitating Pulis's bile.

I am going to make a concerted effort not to be blind to another teams point of view the next time we are victim to an over zealous refereeing decision, although I still agree with the "real time" view of the incident being "WTF is that daft C unt doing?" which is what I thought as soon as Huth launched into the tackle at the angle he did and as late as he did.

I know we have plenty of bell ends on here who absolutely refuse to have any wrong said of our players, but they are far out weighed by the sensible and more mature ones who put them straight when they spout rose tinted rubbish.

In Stoke's fans case they are almost unilaterally convinced that Meyler left the ref no choice due to his actions, when surely the ref didn't even have time to look at him before he showed the card.

It could have been left as a yellow card with a stern warning that the conditions couldn't be blamed for any more tackles of that type. This might well of lead to 2 or 3 yellow cards against the likes of Fuller and Shawcross which the ref avoided giving seemingly in an attempt to pander to a team that were clearly never going to win without Huth.

one of my favs so far

The quality of the league is nowehere near as high as when we joined it i dont think.:lol:

They seem to think that because the foul shouldn't have been a red card that it wasn't a foul. It's great how the appeal has been knocked back, I reckon Pulis being an arse has had a lot to do with that. He probably turned up and said it can't be a red card he didn't break his legs.

Yellow card offence for me, but not one that can be changed on appeal either as it can be argued he hit him (albeit with his knee) and was incapable of avoiding him, therefore was throwing himself into a challenge and not being in control.

Saying that all these appeal decision seem pretty random in general and after the way Pulis went on they would have opened a massive can of worms to effectively "reward" his childish behaviour.

Obviously hilarious though

Our #relationship# with the potters seems to have broken down!
Pulis never complained about the honesty of Sorensen Whitehead Collins et al
when he was signing them up to the Stoke aerial bombardment experiment!
