Still taking no responsibility

Pretty sure this time last year Allardyce was not even Sunderland manager. He has somehow managed to be both Sunderland and England manager in the space of less than a year and end up with neither job.

He must also be the only England manager ever to have not even got to lead the team at Wembley.

I did not want him as our manager and he proved me wrong to be fair, but then he dumped us for his dream job (fair enough in my book) but he has now lost that due to his own stupidity. He only has himself to blame. If he had been principled and played a straight bat he would still have the England gig. His greed and ego got the better of him and there is a certain irony in that.

He has also managed to miss a payout in leaving both jobs, which must hurt as most managers leave jobs with a boat load of cash.

Loving the fact that the FA are currently effectively paying our managers salary as well...

To me Sam has been guilty of being a bit naive and also greedy. In my opinion a strong statement from FA and an apology from Sam should've sufficed but when it's England the press want blood.
I see no reason why this should affect him getting another job in football and the way some people have reacted to it is way OTT.
One thing I will say though is, it isn't just Sunderland fans sticking the boot in. There's plenty of fans of various clubs across social media calling him greedy and a lot worse.

said throughout FSA's tenure here and will repeat it now...... he has never ever ever in the history of the world ever made a mistake.... not once

"Unfortunately it was an error of judgment on my behalf and I have paid the price"

That sounds like someone taken responsibility. Some of our fans are unbelievable. Without Allardyce we'd be in The Championship. But the SMB sticks the boot in. It's not just Allardyce. SKP, Sess, Quinny and Marco all get the same treatment!
Correct.

Sam was sacked from us for being shite
Sacked from west ham for being shite
Sacked from England for bringing the FA into disrepute

Walked away from Sunderland the only plce he has done any good in the last 15 years...

To me it just shows how much of a daft cock he is.

The man was the mouthpiece of the FA - he was their highest in office yet discusses ways to manipulate the rules in which he should be ardently defending as outlined by the governing body that employed him.

Sure he should be able to manage again, but would anyone want somebody that is clearly that thick?
Let's be fair, his reasons for resigning (to take up his dream job) are fair enough. Was frustrating for us but a lot can understand why he did it

Him running his mouth off has cost him the job, but at least he can say he has a 100% win record and we never conceded a goal under him

Sam had you's 11th FFS! He'd only been in charge 5 minutes man. How on Earth can you judge a bloke in that space of time? Then again yous all think Pardew was shite as well when he clearly wasn't!
How was he Shite at West Ham? Promoted at first attempt then consolidated them in premier. What else was he supposed to do?
Only place he done good in last 15 year? So he was no good at Bolton or Blackburn? I mean those clubs have gone from strength to strength since he left haven't they!

I don't doubt it. Sam isn't a particularly popular figure really due to his abrasive gruff and outspoken persona, you wouldn't find many with a good word for him on here until we actually got him but I find it absurd to argue that he's anything but a very good manager which is all that should matter in this instance as far as I'm concerned.

Absolute arrogance, stupidity and greed. Got no sympathy whatsoever.
accept arrogance, and stupidity but greed? How many people on this board would turn down the chance to earn 10 / 15% of their salary for doing work that their employers had sanctioned,?

It's at least in part the greed that's got him into the position though. He wasn't there for nothing and he's already a very wealthy man.

I think most people would look at something and if they thought it would put their position with their employers at risk they would think twice. The arrogance, stupidity and greed then comes into play.

Wealthy or not no one is going to turn down the chance to earn a bit of extra cash. Look at all the managers that appear as TV pundits do after dinner speaking etc., they don't do it for fun do they, and it was reported that he would first have to run it past his bosses.

I do think he's been a little greedy mind however I do understand your point. Problem with something like this is that people can't wait to tut and moralise from their ivory towers I'm afraid.

He did say he'd first have to run it past his employers, however unlikely it was that they'd agree given what they were wanting to do and given how what he was being asked to do was in the main a front for advising them on various things some of which are against rules the fa put in place.

Even if it were just for a couple of conferences we all know the importance of being relatively clean in regards the England job and how large an impact the press can have and how they'll leave no stone unturned when there's potential to sticking the boot into the fa or especially the England manager, so it was in the main greed which lead him on that path and into that seedy encounter, for a quick little earner.

In some positions you're being well paid and you have to have morals and act with responsibility. being England manager is massively different from being on the after dinner circuit and telling some stories in front of a pissed up audience for a few laughs and a few quid. Literally can't understand how people can't comprehend that.

Not remotely true to say he's not a popular figure. Whilst many think he's prehistoric or plays bland football Sam is still massively popular because of those exact things you speak of with especially the working classes in a world where much of what comes with modern football is so bland and pre-determined. Living outside of the North East now I've not heard anyone say a bad word about him until now - far from it. People are reacting at the moment to his musconduct and his gross stupidity and greed, don't try to play it out as something else.
