Still taking no responsibility

Can't believe people want him back here, if he was still Sunderland manager look at how badly this would of looked on your club considering what happened only a few months back.

on Ssn at the minute and still blaming entrapment and others, no responsibility for his own actions

It was entrapment. He didn't actually do anything other than say some common sense stuff about Wembley and the England team that embarrassed his bosses when the journo leaked what was clearly a private conversation. As Matthew Syed said in his column today, nothing that Allardyce said hasn't been said to him 'off the record' by dozens of other managers/people in football.

What's the allegation?

Heard that put to one of the journalists on Radio 2 and he couldn't come up with much more than, "he said Woy" and "people have a right to know about additional income" both of which seemed tenuous

'common sense stuff' about getting around the rules to do illegal player trading?
In my experience blokes sitting drinking pints of wine rarely say much 'common sense stuff' - the common sense thing would be to not drink pints of wine in the first place.

Syed says specifically that how this is done is well known in the industry - all Sam is doing is saying it's commonly done outside Europe and perhaps some of the common ways it is done - which is true. He didn't agree to involve himself in it.

Also they have trawled 8 hours of conversations to come up with the 'juciest bits'.
When they asked him about bungs he apparently knocked them back and said they were simply totally out of order nowadays. That didn't make the front page for some reason though.

I agree that Sam was " set up " and if he were still here it'd be back page at best but he's the manager of the English national team, the biggest job in the country.

That's the deal breaker here.

If he did nothing wrong why did he agree to go so quickly?
The FA said they told him his position was untenable and he agreed to go. I don't know how that's different from sacking him, maybe he gets more money that way.

He's done nothing illegal and it's questionable if he did anything wrong other than get pissed with some twats of journalists. Sorry, "investigative" journalists, who have produced nothing in proof today other than allegations.

I'm just jealous that nobody would offer me £100,000 a throw for a lecture.
This.
I don't think half the people having a pop at big Sam have actually even read what happened.
Unless there's something else yet to be announced I think it's very harsh to sack him.
Obviously some have agendas against him and can't wait to stick boot in as well mind!

I doubt you've read any of it to be fair

He hasn't done anything remotely or even slightly illegal or corrupt

Modern day mob mentality always love to judge though

That he told them how to get around 3 party ownership rules, an FA rule

He really didn't like

Read the transcript

He said people do get around it

This.

They either haven't read it or dont understand

I'd defend this if it was Alan shearer, I don't like this acceptance that he's done things he hasn't

Fuck all happened at that meeting

He slagged off the stadium and called Roy, woy

The difference is he's the England manager, if I was sitting in a pub telling me mates how to get round third party ownership so what. When an employee is telling people how to get around his employers rules and when that employee happens to be the England manager it's slightly different.
It might have been entrapment but If he hadn't have been greedy then they couldn't have trapped him. And my point was still that rather than just apologise and say he was totally in the wrong he was still making excuses and blaming others for being in the wrong.
