Still taking no responsibility

Or, he leaves accepting nothing, appreciating he fucked up as it is gross misconduct and the FA say he by mutual agreement. I'll be surprised if he was paid off.

Maybe I'm just more cynical - in big organisations no one seems to feel responsibility - it's just part of the HR black hole. I'd hope you're right, but I'll bet there was some compromise involved that would leave a bad taste in people's mouths if we knew.

And still people queuing up to dance on the blokes grave. Very sad.
People who are using arrogance as a stick to beat him with are out of order as well, his arrogance or confidence as id prefer to call it is what has made him the manager he is, I have no issue with it. It's part of the reason we are still a premier league club.
As for taking job for his own ego of course he did, but if he does a good job then the people of this country will also reap the benefits. Does anybody really think that Guardiola goes skipping round Europe winning trophies for the good people of Munich, barca and Manchester? Of course he doesn't it's all for the challenge and to feather his CV, nothing wrong with that either by the way.
Big Sam is greedy but I don't think he's a bad bloke and the gutter press will love every second of dragging him through the mud and to hell with his family.
There are people on this thread who were defending the club with the facts staring then right in the face in regards to AJ yet are quite happy to see Allardyce flung under the bus. Staggering!
Typical post from you, what are you really saying?.

I think everyone already had the idea he might be involved in dodgy dealings.
There was another manager we once had who many of us think may also have been involved in some such dealings.
I'd still have him back in a heartbeat. Such is the world.

The thing with arrogance is you have to back it up with achievements, nothing wrong with arrogance if you can back up it,some of the greats have had arrogance,Viv Richards,Shane Warne,Brian Clough,Ali.

The problem with Sam he has arrogance for achieving fuck all, arrogance has made him the manager he is ???

You make it sound like he is a great manager, ,like I said before none of the top clubs have even been close to appointing him and they go through plenty nowadays.

As for dancing on his grave, are you really expecting people to feel sorry for him, he probably get a pay off, is a millionaire and where I do agree, is when another team is close to getting relegated he will get another job.

Watching the tape produced he went on like a total wanker, you can't expect the man on the street to have any sympathy for a man been given his lifetime ambition and pay to go with it,to then show even more greed and arrogance.

He was sacked from his dream job in disgrace after 67 days and one match.

Whatever happens subsequently the utter ignomy of his dismissal will forever define his career and rightly so.
He resigned and was paid £1M for signing a confidentiality agreement.

Exactly what I thought

Surley gross misconduct

No sorry wrong again. I did read it and he's as guilty as hell in my opinion, historically he has been suspected of shady dealings and I was surprised he got the England job in the first place.

Guilty of what?

Its not about opinions mate

He didn't say anything.

Times reckons he cost the FA the thick end of £5mn; £3mn to Ellis, £500k salary for time in the job, £1mn pay off. One match. 100% win record but of course also a terrible record of only winning once in his time as manager  can't believe this like, dream job down the drain what a pillock

You'd be defending him to the hilt if he was still our manager.
Are you talking about if he had or hadn't done this? Just so I know whether you can read my mind or not.

I've just checked who is the op and I'm not sure you're correct. I'm not going to speak for her but her posts tend to be positive and balanced.

Of course it wouldn't be a football message board without an element of vindictive karma.

Personally I think Sam is a very under rated manager and rather than revelling in his downfall, from a purely football perspective, I'm more disappointed that we're not going to see what sort of fist he would have made of the England job.

Having said that I've absolutely no sympathy for the greedy fool and he got his just desserts.
I would have loved him to stay but I was also one of the biggest supporters in the it's his dream job so I don't blame him camp.
Appreciate your comments

They're the same as the ones who are dancing on his grave not because he was caught out by his own greed, because he left the club.

This thread was started to have a dig at Allardyce. Some of us are a little grown up and respect him for what he did last season and the position he left us in.
It wasn't a dig at all, it was based on my opinion of my perception of his interview, no more no less. I fully respect what he did for us last season

I agree with you and I feel the same. I've no sympathy for Allardyce. He had to go. But the OP was more in line of taking a dig at Allardyce because he left not for what he did. Some posters on here take objection to anyone who moves on.
I had nothing to do with him leaving, I argued repeatedly with people at the time that it was his dream job, and though I was gutted he was going I didn't blame him in the least for grabbing the opportunity.
My posting history on the subject in July will back that to be fair

Thanks. I can't be fully credited though, as I thought you'd at least admit it.
Admit what man. If he was our manager I'd be the same, it's canny patronising that you think you are in a position to contradict me. Last reply, fill your boots as to what you believe my thoughts are.

Achievements and success are all relative. For the clubs he's been in charge of he's done pretty much all that could be asked but the big job had alluded him for a variety of reasons. His percieved style of play, his gruff outspoken persona and also like he said because he's English and not called Sam Allerdici.
The job he done at Bolton was outstanding and his reward was a middle of road club like Newcastle who found themselves with a new chairman just after he'd been appointed by the old one. A truly ridiculous sacking that one.
Pochettino does no better a job at Saints and walks straight into a big job like Spurs which became a big job due to another much maligned Englishmsn in Arry who took them from rock bottom to champions league after a whole host of foreigners had been and failed.
Eddie Howe currently doing a fantastic job at Bournemouth will never in my opinion get a big job because again he's English.
That might be going off on a tangent but I'm just trying to get point across as to why Sam has never been given the big show. Guardiola obviously a very good manager but it must make life a lot easier when you walk straight into the Barca job mind.
As for sympathy I wouldn't say I'm losing any sleep over his predicament but I'm a compassionate person who appreciates that people can make errors of judgement, and this one in particular is no more than a bloke thinking he can earn a few quid without really doing anything that's illegal. Yes he should've been more savvy given his employment situation but I think a strongly worded statement from FA and an apology from Sam should've sufficed.
Ultimately I just want to see England succeed and I think big Sam would've given us a good chance of that, unfortunately we now have yet another chinless wonder in charge in the same mould as Woy who'll play everything with a straight bat. I can't wait!

It's obvious man. You defend the club to the hilt no matter what. Allardyce leaves and you stick the boot in.
