I'm not being funny but what bit about not going onto the pitch do people not understand?

If people cannot control themselves then they should consider sitting further back.

The mags was a bit of a one off and I would exempt anyone for that game.

that throws the rest of your post's credibility out the winda I'm afraid. The law only exists in small(er) games..

Yes, he transgressed but did you see how rough they were with him? Way ott from where I was sat.

Nah didn't see what they done to him, just commenting that surely he will know he is going to get a bit of a pasting if he got caught? As said tho I dunno how far they actually went.

As a young'un doing daft shite I always knew that when/if I got caught I'd get a right kicking and accepted it. Part of life :-D

was sitting near the lad.

to be fair he was edgy as fuck, everytime the lino gave an offside he ran to the front and gave him loads of grief. wasnt suprised when he got chucked out for going on the pitch.

In case you forgot, stewards aren't employed by the club to give anyone a good kicking.

You wouldn't expect that at a football match?

Thanks for that...

You don't have to give anyone a good kicking to hurt someone. Police have a great knack of tackling people to the ground and then just using force and weight to put you in pain. No "kicking" as such involved, just force to keep you down and the bending of limbs to stop you squirming.

You can tell when a copper is proper pissed off with you by the shite you will get once you are on the deck and cannot do fuck all whilst he "disables" you.

a) they're not employed to inflict pain neither. Keep trying...

b) who mentioned coppers?

Are we talking about a carpet bowls match or football match here?

Look he was a thick c unt who just wanted to shout his mouth of about fuck all and will get what he deserves for going on the pitch. 30 odd thousand others managed to restrain themselves who not this neckend?

It was pretty much in front of me so I had a good view, I do think the **** in the yellow top didnt help himself by going back about three times to hug Danny Welbeck so the stewards had no option to do something.

But I absolutely agree with the OP that the way that one steward in particular went about that was unnecessarily rough, and the steward was clearly just enjoying his moment of being the big man.

As I wasn't there (along with a few others commenting) I don't know what happened to the lad, but stewarding is bollocks almost universally and it amazes me that so many think that people "get what they deserve" ... all part of the malaise that means football supporters are treated like shite inside and outside the ground for the misdemeanours of a few.

Of course he needs to be brought back off the field, but anything other than necessary force is too much ... it's not their job to punish.

Going on the pitch isn't a big deal and shouting rubbish at a football match is normal.

A) never said they were employed to inflict pain. But if you are doing something wrong then tough shit, you should expect whats coming (if they decide to go in rough).

B) it was an example...

End of the day the lad was doing wrong, he got nabbed and treat a bit rough (chances are he hasn't even got a bruise). It's lads like this that make the stewarding even worse, not just the stewards being tits (tho quite a few probably are). The more they get fucked off the harder they will bite back.

I kept an eye on him an his "escort" from my seat in the P/concourse. He was taken to an exit at about the halfway line then handed over to 2 NP,then marched out of the ground. To be charged or just given a warning? Probably charged i reckon.

he knows the rules...... he was an idiot...... he deserves all he gets..... blah blah f***ing blah from the usuals.

ffs its a footbal match, which involves passion and emotion.

i hope thousands run on the pitch against the mags, lets see what the piss arse stewards do then.

Yeah its a football match, so what the fuck is HE doing on the pitch? You can have as much passion and emotion as you like, in the stands where you paid to sit.

He was in the wrong. It's also "blah blah stewards are all *****" from the same old suspects that always have bother from them.

Alot of us have never had a single word from any steward in all the time going. So is it really that bad? Or just the naughty boys bitching because they cannot do what they want?

After our second goal , a kid in a yellow top jumped the barriers and celebrated with the players. Yes, it is against the rules to do that but fuck me, did they go over the top. They damned near assaulted the kid:evil:
f***ing arseholes.

On TV, World Cup bid stadium and all that.
