Didn't say he was shite. However statistics can sometimes flatter a player. He never convinced me.

That said, jimmy had his issues early in his career. He has plenty of time to turn his career around and discover his form

He is/was a bowler of terrific potential who has been utterly ruined by the England coaching set up. One of our top priorities should be getting him back to his old form...

Average better than I expected, to be honest. Strike rate was always going to be good because he does pick up wickets because he bowls wicket taking balls, which is why when he gets it wrong he goes for runs.

Errr...test cricket is about taking wickets. We have been crying out for an in-form Finn on this tour.

So naturally Whitaker and Moores use him in ODIs. Top wicket taker at the world cup when not being hit for 7 an over...

All I'd do with him is leave him at his County but assure him it's not the end for him if he can recover whatever it was that made him special .... I'm not holding my breath.

England ruin him and Middlesex have to fix him.:)

Tin hat on, but would have taken more wickets than Stokes if played in Antigua or Grenada.
