safc mak

safc do the deal initially though .....cost and standard must be discussed ?
well safc get paid to allow the manufactuiers to make them right? ie SAFC dont send in an order and the manuactirers make them to that order-SAFC get money for the kit deal...cost must be discussed of course..the VAT man gets his 20 per cent...then the manufacturers etc get their cash before safc get any of it..i agree the prices are very high though..
It’s not like you can’t buy online either. I really don’t get this obsession with the club shop. Surely in terms of revenue it’s a tiny fraction in the modern game for most clubs? Give me investment on the pitch and the academy any day.
where is the money for the investment on the pitch and the academy going to come from if not from things that make money like a club shop?

Do you think the club is being operated well outside of the football?

I think the operations outside of football are far from ideal but when a business operates at a negative 8-figure sum, I'd assume there would be large cutbacks.

Point is, I don't know what things are being judged upon or the budget or the projections through change, so what you believe is out of depth, may actually be hitting targets we planned for.
Do cowboy boots ever go out of fashion? I wear mine all the time. I thought all proper lads did.

I'd love me a decent pair, may splash out on my 40th.

Lucchese make class cowboy boots if you've got the money

The managing director of British Shoe Corporation (who owned most of the country's shoe shops at the time) once said "We don't make our profits on the shoes we sell; we make them on how few are left in the warehouse". In other words, it's down to getting the buying process, delivery schedules and stock control right, rather than shops being fully (or worse, over) stocked at all times.
Imagine how full his show warehouses would have ended up if he only opened his shops 2 days a month

The one fact alone that the club shop was only open on two days in the build up to Wembley, and lacked a lot of basic stock like kit, should be enough to question SD.
You are aware stock issues like the kit are completely out of the club's hands due to the nature of the kit deal we have?
There's many things off the field need putting right (as in commercial, etc) but the supply to the club shop regarding kit/training wear can't be levelled at SAFC in this instance.

The club shop can operate online, is that not where most clubs generate their revenue nowadays?

safc shop is open 24/7
on line which doesn't suit a lot of our fan base.

£4.99 delivery charge no matter how much you spend (mug £7 plus £4.99, 3 full kits £150ish still have to pay delivery). Most online retailers offer free delivery once you hit a certain order level.
Clart on being in for the Hermes driver
Clart on sending stuff back if it doesn't fit
Not being able to take advantage of the 10% ST Holder's discount.

well other clubs have shops as well..i think what hinders safc is that the stadium, and there fore shop, is nort really near any town centre..so gets less footfall thsn other clubs-even clubs with much smaller fanbases.
the second issue is that safc has a remarksble number of season card holders-and so does less one off ticket sales-meaning our ticket office is probably less busy than others..

And you would know that HOW? Chatting to people on Fawcett Street?

BECAUSE safc fans are not different to the general public at large...a general public which buys online regaulrly..there is a reason high streest are derelict throughout the country..
"VAST VAST" ?

And what about the ST discount? They advertised that as part of the package.
