I've been desperate for him to get the job for a while now, so I'm delighted. I hope they at least give him the rest of the qualifying campaign to give him a chance to turn it round. I think the past couple of years have been pretty damaging to Scotland and it might take him time to sort it, but ultimately he'll get it right and sticking by him is our best shot at qualifying for something.

I thought he gave a good first press conference.

  6. Big job that no manager has done it since 1998, but i suppose its got to happen sooner or later.

  7. He will get this campaign to sort out the shit, bonus ball of the nations league and then the next campaign to really kick on.
For the first time in donkeys I’m quite enthused. Looking forward to Cyprus and Belgium

I actually think he'll do a job for their national team. He's a good manager. Whisper it quietly.

I really hope you're right and he does get both campaigns. The timing of the Strachan sacking was bizarre, and I'm a little worried they'll do the same to Clarke if he fails to qualify. I know what you mean about the upcoming games as well. It's felt like a chore going lately, but I think there's a real chance of Scotland actually playing well now!
