Sterling to Chelsea

Chelsea won't finish top 4, they are 10 points off already and are not playing well.
Think their January spending is a bit of a desperate attempt to get there but I agree. Then when it doesn't happen and Potter has had his 7 months there they'll do it all again with the next manager.

The fact that city were willing to sell him to a potential rival suggested that they knew he'd peaked
Think Sterling wanted more first team football so thought that Chelsea would supply it.
City have always rotated their wide men and Sterling's form gradually deteriorated when he was there.
Agree though, that City seldom sell first-team players to other Premier League teams.
Bet Southgate continues to select him for England though, when he regains fitness...
