I had a dream last night that mart poom came out of retirement to play on friday. Gutted when i woke up and realised it would be steele playing

Hope he proves us all wrong but i can't understand why we paid a fee when we are seemingly skint. It's a position you can usually pick up a good free transfer. The likes of valdes, lindegaard and carrasso are still available.
Mika as well. We spunked our last two million on him last year for some reason.

Gives the lad a bit of confidence hopefully. He looked nervous as a kitten v Celtic.
Hope I am wrong like, but if you are nervous in friendly then it doesn't stand you in good stead for the real thing. He had over 400 Championship games, if he's not confident now I don't think he ever will be. My own opinion from the Celtic game is he's not very good, bad positioning, diving too late, angles all wrong ect. I don't have any thing positive to say about him at all.

Was a Boro fan on recently who claims this is his speciality.

I'm sure reading this will do his confidence the world of good.

Don't worry Steele, the actual crowd will be behind you on Friday, hope you play a blinder son.
What's his login, mate? Didn't know he got on here!

I'm pretty sure the majority of them don't even know this place exists.
I think you'd be surprised.

Don't get me wrong - some of them are fair game, e.g Lens wishing we were relegated, Kone for his attitude. This lad has just signed though, no doubt hoping to step his game up a level and realise the potential that he showed at U19 and U21 level. He's clearly got some new job nerves, I just don't see how it's in any way productive to crucify him before he's even played a competitive game. Get behind him, get his confidence up and who knows how well he can do for us.

Players as bad as him wouldn't really benefit from confidence, now don't they. If you are shit you are shit. Goalkeeping is, like many positions, all about skill and ability. Confidence does not have a direct influence on how well you do.

I take this as an example of Grayson's SMB acclaimed man management ... He knows the team is shite, he knows that Steele is already a lost cause in the eyes of many, so given that he probably thinks we're likely to lose on Friday there's no point in the cloggy taking part of the blame ... let the condemned man fall further.

Managerial sophistry.

i don't buy Simons excuse that RR won't be involved as he hasn't done much training in the last week. He's a GK ffs as long as he has two working legs and one working arm he should be ahead of Steele
