starting a burger van...

just trying to start a bit of dialogue about this.. looking for advice, guidance or warnings. What are the unforeseen overheads behind a venture like this and what do people pay to have a regular pitch near the SoL?
Sell vhs porn tapes under the counter .
All about the sauce ....good one will hide the taste of cheap meat .

the USP would be, and I know it’s not entirely unique but, it’s kind of a Subway rip-off but instead of the mush they serve as ‘steak’ or ‘chicken’ you’d serve real beef/steak and actual chicken fillet/breast but you’d get to choose your preferred bread/selection of salad. So it’s like Subway but without the cheap, basic, processed produce.

Sounds like your stock costs will be massive and you will take ages to serve each customer, for that reason, I'm out.

Might want to factor cost of insurance including public liability insurance.

Burger vans without a pitch included is a total nightmare, you will probably find that the council refuse you spot for absolutely no reason to protect their mates burger vans and coffee shops.

If you get a pitch then you can make money even if it's in a shit location as long as you're prepared to deliver, it isn't uncommon for other burger vans to burn you out though.
