Anyone doing anything for it? think we've got Wigan at home on the same day,
Dont care if he was turkish/palestinian or where ever

My local normally has a bit of an event on.

Hopefully will be a nice evening and can have a bit of a sup in the sun.

Took a half day with the lads from work last year. Great piss up. Won't be doing anything this year 'cos too much other stuff on.

I divvent care neither. The lad was put out enough to kill a git fuck off dragon for us so that'll do me.

It's a shame we don't have the same capacity to celebrate our national day in the same way the Welsh/Irish/Scottish do.

I understand people see it associated with Right wing groups, the BNP et al. But there's no reason why everyone can't appreciate it. Afterall, it is a day "for England" rather than "for the English".

Spot on marra

Nar, St George wasn't English, nor did he ever visit England.

Jacksons is usually good crack, but if we're at home a lot of lads run the risk of being lifted because of bans.

I was driving through the Wheatsheaf area a few year back on St Georges Day and there was a RIOT on!
Loads of skinheads wading into each other outside of the Terminus
