That would be the final nail in the coffin.Carling to sponsor St George's?
I that Zouma fell kicked a moggy and got fined £250k Georgie boy kills a dragon and we make him a saint. He killed a defenceless dragon for gods sake. And people want to make out he was a saint!
I’m in Catalonia for it, where it’s actually celebrated and everybody comes together. I’ll by buying Mrs. SR7 (no) the customary rose and she’ll be buying me the customary book. I love coming here for Sant Jordi, I feel like I can celebrate without people thinking you’re in the EDL or the like.
There are plenty sneering types, you see them crawling all over this forum at timesI'm going out for a pint on Saturday. I might wish the lad behind the bar a happy St. Georges Day now that I know that it's on Saturday, maybe even a few of the lads I drink with anorl.
I can 100% guarantee nobody will think I'm in the EDL for doing this. What on earth has made you think that?
Enjoy your celebrations, by the way. Seems like a canny tradition and win-win sharing of gifts.
Southampton fans.Who on earth cares about saints?![]()
Hope you drew the line at blacking up, that would ruin the party. Was class last year. Massive fancy dress party down Roker beach, with people dressed as their fave George. George Jettson was there, as was George Michael and George from Rainbow. I went as George Weah, full Milan kit, including shinnies![]()

That's already been asked on the thread. Answer is I obviously did blacken up. Daft going as a black bloke and not looking black. Not sure why it's ruin the party. Loads of black folk love the England. And as far as I'm aware, George Jettson, George Michael and George from Rainbow aren't racist.Southampton fans.

I haven’t flown here specifically for St. George’s Day, we are here for Easter and my in-laws are all Catalan. I’m embracing their culture, as I always do when here.f***ing hell![]()
Gammons..Nice to see the gammons will be celebrating our beloved turkish muslim, patron st, who never once visited england!

Egyptian cotton, flash bastard.Being English means getting up, having an Italian coffee and American cereal for breakfast, going to and from work in your German car, having a French baguette for lunch, followed by pasta when you get home, going to an Irish pub in the evening and the weekend, getting pissed on Belgian or Australian lager, and finishing off with a pizza, curry or Chinese, which you throw up onto your Egyptian cotton sheeted bed when you stagger home.
Makes you proud.

Nobody has said anything in particular in here, I’m just generalising by the way some go on. I was just being facetious with the EDL comment.I see people sneering at people's opinions being that it should be celebrated more and it being a disgrace that it isn't etc.
What type of sad act cares if someone doesn't celebrate something that they do? Forcing someone to celebrate something they don't want to would get sneered, disagreed with, and mocked in any situation.
I don't really see anyone sneering at anyone celebrating it. The vast majority really don't give a toss about St. Georges Day. Might have missed a few posts like but I've only took a glance. Links to, or Usernames of those that have?

And blackcurrant tango!
Depends what bar you're in.If you're in Jacksons, people have got a right to think you're in the EDLI'm going out for a pint on Saturday. I might wish the lad behind the bar a happy St. Georges Day now that I know that it's on Saturday, maybe even a few of the lads I drink with anorl.

It's a stupid notion that we abandon the flag of St. George because EDL use it. Many patron saints aren't from the country that adopts them (including Patrick). St. George is patron saint of at least three countries. Fashion (un)conscious blokes have been known to wear black shirts. It doesn't make them fascists. Reclaim the flag of England and consign the EDL to the dustbin.I see people sneering at people's opinions being that it should be celebrated more and it being a disgrace that it isn't etc.

Bit of a generalisation ... so if you like dancing to Marc Almond songs and are “ good with colours” have people a right to think you’re a little camp?Depends what bar you're in.If you're in Jacksons, people have got a right to think you're in the EDL
