Never celebrate it. Good day for those who are proud to be English, I feel nothing but shame when it comes to my nationality so I don't define myself by it.

Off down to London for the boxing il celebrate it by getting as pissed as I can be.

Usually go to the Jackson’s to be fair.

Who the fuck cares about St. George’s day?

Lots of people mate. Nothing wrong to celebrate your patron saint. The Irish put us to shame in that respect.

Come on Sunderland and England.

How depressing.

Never seen people mortal on St George’s Day, unlike St Paddies Day. Strange that they’d want to celebrate their day and not our own imo

It's not strange at all. It's called good marketing.
Aye let's celebrate our favourite Turk... 😆

More importantly, it's also Bill Shakespeare's birth - and - death day, so let's celebrate that Englishman.

This is the right answer.
Celebrate a proper Englishman who actually contributed something valuable to the world which is still important today.

English and proud. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
Me too, but it doesn't need to become a pissing competition to see which is best. Problem is St. George's day has never being a bank holiday or a thing which was celebrated en mass. It has only ever really come to light because we are sick to fuck of having to apologise for our past horrible deeds and we can show everyone else we can be as proud of our country as the rest of the world feel about theirs. It would also help if it wasn't associated with a bunch of racist right wing balloons who think shouting how proud they are to be English makes them better and prouder Englishmen than the rest of us.

Nowt wrang with St Paddy’s Day.
I own an Irish Setter and have an 12th Irish cousin 3 times removed, I’ll be there with my Guineas hat on.

You from Liverpool ?
Nope, just I feel I can't be proud of my country when there are so so many things wrong with it, and a refusal to take responsibility for our mistakes along with celebrating success. It's a personal thing and I do envy those who feel patriotic, it just doesn't work for me.

Why not think of the good things? You could say the same about the majority of countries.
