He will get a chance,as will Davies, but you can only go on what you know and what you've seen,KD is less of a risk but Bridge ffs,if Bruce or the Mags had signed him what would reactions have been?O'Neill has been nothing but superb since arriving but he will officially be the messiah if he can do owt with him!

you mean like the mags signing demba ba and they got slated cos hes shite and cudn't score in reflex bar?

just out of interest, who do people think we should be signing as near enough every name we are linked with is "shite"? some right doom merchants here

Having got the results (and we still need some) I never thought we were going to be busy this window a case of getting through to the summer and start again.

I must admit to being a bit disapointed about the striker situation though, simply because I think it was very obvious to everybody including MON we needed someone else. I just get the feeling if it wasn't for Bentdners injury we wouldn't be looking, which is for me strange.

Interested to see what happens in the summer and how MON is going to set up and the type of players we buy. People are going on about his system, but for me he has only organised the team with what he has available to hand at the minute.

davies, bridge... has mon identified 18th place as a new target?

Not a massive fan of bridge personally but a proper left back is certainly an improvement...

Anyone else get the feeling that MON didn't actually watch any football during his 18 months out of the game?

Depends if you only go off his spell at West Ham or disasterous move to City. At some stage Bridge has been decent or he wouldn't have played for Chelsea and won a load of England caps. Definitely an improvement on Richardson IMO

I've never rated him particularly highly, and I have issues about someone that has shown little or no desire to get himself a football team even when it was painfully obvious he wouldn't be getting a game at his current one.

But if MON thinks we need him, then I'll go with it.

I'm not a fan of loans, but if this is a loan it won't be so bad.

I'd happily have 3 loans brought in today.

Apparently he is one of the fittest players in the man city squad.

Experienced too so I'm very happy with this. He may have played poorly at whu but they were all poor last season

This is the only statement that matters on the whole of this thread

He hasn't been any good for quite a while now.

I'd rather see Richardson, Colback or Bardsley at LB than Bridge. He seems to be a man living off his reputation of 4 or 5 years back judging by some of the comments on here.

Not one of those players you have mentioned are a natural left back

My feeling is that MON wants to release Richardson's pace further up the pitch.

We were very pedestrian against Boro in central midfield. Vaughn and Gardner are too similar to work well together in there. The loss of Cattermole was sorely felt and MON must know the results of the scan by now. Who knows how long he might be out?
