Because he was poor at WHU. A little unfair, considering he was in a shocking side.

Not entirely accurate, but fair. He was poor in his debut for WHU although that was a premature debut i think. His next game was also on sky and he started with a shocker, although came into the game.

What we didn't see was their next few games and I believe he got steadily better.

But if it's not on sky, the boo boys are out.

He is a solid left back. Will release Richardson to act as cover for all our other areas where we have injuries. Smart thinking MON.

seems a sensible option to balance the squad - all the evidence so far is that MON is just looking to make small changes to supplement the squad for the rest of this season and anything major will happen in the summer

may still need a LB in summer as i cant see him coming here full time, but there'd be better value in the market then anyway

Oh dear.. I'd be disappointed with this signing, he's way past it. He was dreadful for West Ham last season.

So that means hes gana be crap at sunland?

ya know fuck all about football bonnie lad

He's plays in a position where we have no real cover unless you count Bardsley.

It's a loan move so it's no big risk and if he plays, and plays well, we can sign him.

I vote 'yes' :-D

Poor signing imo, struggle to remember a game in which he shone, even in his prime he was ordinary.

You dont have to shine at left back.

First task is to defend well, and maybe support the play upfield.

But this is not important with the way we currently play.

He was absolutely shocking against us in his last game so can't have got that much better

must be the taunts from our lot about terry shaggin his wife (even though it wasnt his wife ) that tempted him

It's all about opinions, but IMO his reputation is based pretty much entirely on his form for Southampton a decade ago.

Seems to be a 'whoever is available' type signing, but, like Davies, we will see.

You may well be right, but it would be nice if some of the others give the lad a chance.
