Agree around £15m should be around Lallanas price either way Southampton have well and truly done both Liverpool and Bournemouth

In big shite next season though, add extra 3-4m to any of their targets and losing the nucleus of their side, could see them going down if they lose Lambert, Shaw and Lallana. Cant see Rodriguez wanting to stay if they go either

It'd be one thing if the 32-year-old striker was Ibrahimovic (who is 32)... and actually quite similar to Lambert in style of play. But Ibra is one of the best players in the world and Lambert isn't... Of course, Ibra would probably go for a lot more.

Villa is 32, I think £9m would be a fair price for him nowadays... of course he went to Atletico for about £4m.

they are worth £9 million, because they are world class strikers who have performed consistently at a world class and international level for their entire careers

But Ricky Lambert.. who's had a couple of decent seasons in the prem and spent most of his carer in league one and the championship?

again

Does Lallana have a sell on % to Bournmouth? If so I wonder if this is a bit of clever accounting by Liverpool, paying a chunk of a future Lallana fee?

They're gonna have a really, really tricky summer.

For starters they need to pick the right manager, which is a tricky enough job as it is, then they need to sort out all the rumours surrounding pretty much half their first XI and either sell or keep them, and the sooner the better, they can't be faffing about until deadline day to drive up the price cos then they'll be really fucked. Then having £50m in the bank is useless if you've ripped not only the spine but also the homegrown heart out of your team, replacing them is gonna be a real problem. Get any of those things wrong and they could have real problems next season. As us and Spurs and loads of other teams have found, spending big money on a player to replace one that's gone out the door is no guarantee that you'll get the same level of performance on the pitch.

Ibra is worth way more than 9 million!

I'd say Lambert is a 4 or 5m pound player, but even then, I don't see why Liverpool would want him. They should try to sign Villa tbh.

Is king kenny in charge of tansfers again  to think there fans a few weeks ago were talking about how they are bigger then chelsea so should be able to Hijack the Costa bid

He will play in rotation. The CL will take a lot out of that squad, it needs to be made a lot stronger.
Given how much they need to strengthen the defence you'd think they'd use big money to spend it there rather than for some rotation players, don't know how much money they have mind but 24 million for two players who wouldn't be considered first team players (imo) for them is a lot of money!

It is but Rodgers is no tool, he will know he has to massively sort that back four out. They will sell Borini and that'll fund this deal anyway.
