A proper leader is willing to sacrifice themselves for the good of the team and inspires those around them. I’ve no doubt Kane is a good player but doesn’t look a leader to me. As for the world cup, he was hardly the reason England got that far, he scored 5 against 2 absolutely horrendous opponents in the first 2 games and then a penalty against Colombia.

I find it interesting to watch but it's not at all "gripping TV". I get almost no suspense or thrill over this quest for the top 4 place that they basically never really get close to.
