Well 2 was Keala Settle and 3 Dua Lipa. Kids man. Though I will admit to loving a greatest showman sing along with the kids. My own highest song was Khe Sanh by Cold Chisel. I'd swear I only played it a couple of times. Must be when I'm drunk or something.
I listen to music a lot. The quantity of top class music being produced has declined year on year since the 90s. Compare the output from this year, The absolute finest albums, with any year in e.g. The 70s.
1 and 3 not so bad, number 2 though, ugh I fucking hate that song. few weeks back I said to Alexa, "Play There is a place by talking heads" bitch replied back with "playing despocito by Justin Bieber" and then wouldnt stop when I told her to! there's still lots of great stuff out there though its just not in the mainstream
The Riverboat Song, Ocean Colour Scene Speak to Me, Pink Floyd Roscoe, Midlake I tend to listen playlists on shuffle so it’s not necessarily by choice.
I think lots is stretching it too. some. Definitely not lots. not relative to e.g. The 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s. My mate has owned a recording studio for decades. The decline in numbers of talented musicians and songwriters has been alarming. For him anyway.
1. Distant Showers Sweep Across Norfolk Schools - July Skies 2. A Million Dreams - Ziv Zaifman, Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams 3. Under the Pressure - The War on Drugs
Really ? I thought it was superb. All genres saw excellent stuff being released imo. Is your latter point not due to advances in technology ? When I were young you had to go to first avenue studios or the like but now you can do a lot of it at home. Certainly the case with electronic music.
I made her own little playlist, mostly stuff with catchy choruses & stuff. Put her on the right track. Her other favourites are Poor Paddy by the Pogues, Blitzkreig Bop, Monkey Man & Lust For Life. She’s cool as fuck
