I went to see him in concert at the City Hall Xmas 1999..he was singing then a bit Q+A in between..said he didn’t mind the Sunderland people but hated the football club..said he had a surprise near the end of the show..curtain went up and here’s the Newcastle Brown Ale brass band..starts playing the Blaydon Races and all the Geordies are up singing and clapping..ashamed of myself for being there..he was fkn shite anarl.
