Speakman interview on SAFC

Of course everybody hopes the approach the club is taking will bear fruit but despite the fine words and pleas for patience and understanding the pressure is on for the club to deliver a promotion winning side next season.

Luton, Barnsley, Charlton, Coventry, Rotherham, Wycombe, Hull, Peterborough and Blackpool have all been promoted ahead of us since we descended into this footballing abyss and although fine clubs all, none can hold a candle to our club in terms of history and potential.

We were all enthused at the news of the takeover but plenty of clubs have new ownership - we need to see progress and quickly.

Really? I don’t obviously... 🤦🏼‍♂️😂

The data for thousands of players around the world is available for access, for multiple seasons.

SAFC are using several of these player statistics sites and partnering up with third parties to help build a db of stats data they can analyse. It won’t take long to get going at all. It not like a data warehouse where companies have to wait years to have enough meaningful data to analyse and report on.

Your response proves you don’t understand.

Are you adding any contextual data? What about situational data? What are you comparing all this available single data to as it relates to SAFC at first team/23s/18s level? Can you point me in the direction of the tactical data model for SAFC for team/unit/individuals? And how all this available data relates to those data models?

There are thousands of factors that need to be incorporated into the process and a large proposition of those aren’t even known yet!

But aye let’s fire up FM20 or whoscored.com and it’ll be grand.

What about Neil, Younger and Hawkes? We persisted with Power etc. and it got us no where really. I’m not saying I think they’re necessarily the answer, but surely Hawkes could have been named on the bench on occasions and used as a sub.
They don't fit the data though.

He should have been asked who made the absolute cock up regarding Embleton. His or Johnson's.

Given the pathetic end to the season they are both lucky they are in jobs.
What’s this ‘Spackman’ crack?
For fuck’s sake, what’s he done so wrong already to deserve that infantile bullshit?
Agree I dont like the daft name calling.

However, given the absolute cock up of the January transfer window him and Johnson have a lot to do to win back any trust of the fans.

We have actually gone backwards playing wise since his appointment and thats some task.

Nothing, it’s embarrassing as.
Why are we not playing our academy players Spackman? Why have we got the most expensive academy in league one but it seems to be one of the least productive?
Edit: Speakman

Second time I’ve seen ‘Spackman’ on this thread.

Is this supposed to be some clever new insult the knuckle draggers have dreamt up?

f***ing lifting innit?
For what it’s worth, mine was a genuine mistake.

Got a bit of a rebuild job on his hands especially if Wyke, O'Nien and McGeady go elsewhere.

A great opportunity to finally create a side with pace, power and youth. Get it right and investment required if we go up will be small. Get it wrong and it can set us back another 5 years.

Nee pressure, Kris.

Pace, 18, finishing, 17. Search. (oh, under 35yo)

I think they are trying to reinforce through frequent messaging that this is a long term plan not 3 months.

So the arseholes that turn up outside the ground with pitchforks might actually understand eventually.

this.

“it’s going to take years so don’t expect to be running away with the league next year”

its ok he will be paid enough to deal with the pressure. Put simply the club must be promoted next season I hope this is the mantra...

Surely long term we’re looking towards the PL, and promotion out of league one should be our short term ambition. Are you seriously thinking fans are going to happily accept another 3 years in league one? When the likes of Wycombe, Luton, Rotherham, Coventry and Blackpool etc. are being promoted, there’s no excuse why we shouldn’t be. The latter have proven that a team can still be promoted with a high turnover of players.

Donkey Double next season. Nowt more nowt less. Play the bairns in the FLC & FAC next season as winning at Wembley needs to become a habit formed ASAP cos we’re gonna need it ower the next 50yrs. The bar staff in the various HA postcode pubs are gonna be greeting us all by name by the time young Kyrille is having to have delegates from Marseilles thrown off his NE stately home grounds.
We’re on our way back. This is gonna be OUR century, fuck the 🐷6 and the dirty dozen.
