Speakman’s transfer strategy backfired already

I don't think we will play

We're short only at left back. Where else are we short?

I think we’ll likely change system now. The problem we also face is Cirkin’s injury leaves us without a fit left back, so going 4 at the back opens up another problem as to who plays left back

Honestly believe we’ll win on Saturday even without RS and everyone will be back to calling Mowbray our best manager since BSA again like after Wednesday night 😂😂
Batth, Wright or O’Nien to score from a corner? Or a Millwall own goal?

More likely than Pritchard, Roberts, Gooch, Neil, Dajaku, Embleton, Matete or Evans scoring.

think of all the profit we're going to make developing these young signings which we can use to buy more young signings and make profit on we'll be the most profitable mid table club in the championship

If Stewart had played would have been a different game wilder saying he was relieved to hear the final whistle says it all.

Until l we get saddled with ones that aren’t very good.
This thread has captured the majority of clueless melts.

Just because some opinions don’t fit in with your narrative?

So who was going to come in? Come on, name names. And don't hide behind the pathetic "It's not my job".

There's way more competition for CM places yet we've manged to sign more of those.

My suspicion is it was always the case we will look to play 433 or a derivative of, so actual striker depth (in terms of three for one spot) wasn't a priority.

If we are playing 2 up front then any backup would be getting minutes pretty much every week. It's no different to a side, who plays one up front, only having one striker on their books. Won't be many of those.

I still find it absolutely laughable that so many people are claiming it's would have been impossible to sign a striker as no one would sign if they weren't going to be first choice!

When did this become a thing?

We've signed squad players and backup goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders, why should it be so different with strikers? Is it really too much to ask to have 3 players to cover 2 positions??

We've got plenty of forwards mate, same as strikers, the likes of Roberts and Pritchard can easily fill in for the loss Ross Stewart, they did it last night...... If Simms gets injured there are loads in our squad that can play as a striker;)

People are forgetting Stewart actually signed from a scotish nobody and sat on the bench in league 1 there is players out there

You'd think being able to work on shape and how we play would help. I mean that whole ten minutes we had last night to prepare was wasted.

Jesus man for the first time in god knows how long, we have a proper plan, that will sustain going forward, and already has brought success on the field, and people still moan.

Simms has scored 3 in 6. I think that's now 3 in 7, but he was isolated last night at short notice and Boro capitalised on it.
Somehow I don't think Broadhead would have made a huge difference but who can say?
