Spare a thought for the Stoke fans

Bizarre isn’t it. Some hate Alex Neil more than managers who’ve done huge damage to the club by being shite.
some people are just not very good at their job or get dealt a rough hand.
neil was pretty good but an absolute weasel with zero integrity.
i'd prefer the former and a bit honesty every time.

I just think he had a difference of opinion over how to progress. Same issues in a way that Mowbray has had. Yes TM didn’t resign but Neil is a lot younger and at the stage of his career where he’s more likely to be ambitious.

he might well have done but i'd dare bet the £££££ was his main motivation.

Three times more ambitious, coincidentally the same as his salary increase.

That may change if wr hire a manager that knows how to change tactics midgame. Alex Neil is excellent at that and Mowbray is awful at it. Mowbrays strength was the initial tactical setup
Ask Stoke fans what they think of Neil’s ability to change tactics mid game

We've no doubt played Stoke City quite a few times during my time as a fan from the mid seventies onwards, but nothing springs to mind apart from beating them in R5 of the FA Cup after a replay in 75/76. They're just one of those clubs that are a bit meh.

All it really shows is that Alex Neil wasn't wrong to fuck off for more cash on his own terms because the club wouldn't stuck by him if things went south and there would probably not be a job offer on the table then
No .
It just proves that Neil reverted to type , a journeyman who had his moment in the spotlight for which we are grateful and threw it away for money . We would have been more in the shite if he had stayed and had got his way with transfers ,given some of the cack he has bought into the Stoke set up.
Just hope those in control actually had someone in the pipeline ,when they elbowed Mowbray . If not it smacks of desperation and panic .

In our local paper tonight , Alex Neil saying il die before Il quit , what a load of bull 💩 , he won’t walk away from 30k a week the lying tw@t
