Spain passes law giving menstrual leave

Aye but they might also stay and provide 40 years of service so are more likely to make a return on the investment. Its pretty much a guarantee the 64 year old will soon be away.
As if anyone has a “job for life” these days. :D

64 year old is likely to be able to hit the ground running, ok shuffling, with years of experience. 21 year old will need loads of mentoring.

Depends on the type of work i suppose but if you treat your staff good and pay them a fair wage you can still keep people long term. Helps if there is opportunity for advancement promotions etc which would also go against the 64 year old.

Honestly I'm staggered at the number of small business experts who think this is a massive problem. It's the opposite.

I wonder how they'd manage with a REAL small business problem like managing cashflow, planning for growth, managing risk, managing marking and comms, creating a good workplace, keeping staff when market wages are outstripping what you can sell your product for etc etc

Aye but you weigh it up into likelihoods and look at it from a business perspective. The 64 is more likely to be soon retired and not make a return on the investment.
So I should have hired the woman of childbearing age instead?

No one stays for 40 years any more Vincent. You’re showing your age.

There's a difference between finding something a bit pathetic and being offended by it.
How do you know that the poster found that ‘joke’ offensive rather than pathetic? His reply didn’t indicate any offence to me, just annoyance at more tiresome shit sexist ‘banter’.

Nonsense, if you were a small business owner looking to grow your business over the next decade or so and had two applicants for a job. One is 21 the other is 64, which one would you go for if they were equally qualified?
The 64 Yr old.

The best person for the job obviously. As you aren't meant to use age ( age discrimination) when making a choice. But
for the purpose of the thread, the 64 yr old.

It’s sexism masquerading as tiresome shit banter.
All this feminism isn’t fooling anyone. We know your game. The ladies aren’t fooled either.
No it's not man. Even a lass on here liked the post. He even added ermm, it works both ways. He knows it's not worse for a man it was a pun.
Why don't we ask him?
@yamar1 were you serious, that it is worse for men?
They go on about child birth as well.
Knowing fine well we cannot compare it to getting a foreskin caught in a zip. Or a cricket ball bowled at speed into the testicles.

Whom am I trying to fool, Mr Contrarian?

It’s just really cliched pish patter that someone like Jim Davidson would come out with.
