Spacecraft/EVA question

Not by making this statement you don't

e·qui·lib·ri·um

noun

  1. a state in which opposing forces or influences are balanced.

You're entering a world where your opponent makes up his own definitions for words, makes up his own nonsensical laws of science, ignores all proofs that he's wrong, and even refuses to ever admit he's ever been proven wrong about anything, even when it's laid down right in front of his face that he's wrong / lying / contradicting himself he refuses to ever admit or accept it.

It's a futile task.

The other thread is 17000+ posts of Nukey contradicting or redefining everything every scientist has ever done.

Apparently taking a spirit level to a bath of water proves the world isn't a globe. This is what you're up against.

Action and equal and opposite reaction.

Fictional space vacuums can offer neither.
The beauty of sci-fi is, anything can be made up. You can float forever in a space vacuum and be told it's factual.

Imagine having an EVA from any craft like we've been offered over time. No airlocks to be seen.
A craft just floating through a space vacuum in supposed constant motion because space offers no friction/resistance to slow the vehicle and yet we get told the same no friction or resistance is not required to put the actual vehicle in motion in the first place because the crafts actually just kick in their own guts and somehow move through a vacuum.

It's great sci-fi but that's all it is in my opinion.

Imagine if it were possible for a person to be in this space vacuum just floating. No up nor down or horizontals. Basically just suspended in this space vacuum.

How do you make yourself move?
You can wave your arms and legs and whatnot but that would be it going by this supposed space vacuum mindset.

Ok, let's put you inside a cardboard box with all 6 sides that can equally be breached and you are inside this box.
You want to propel this box through space. How can you do it?

Imagine your head and feet touching each end of the box as you're crouched inside just floating.
You kick out at one end of the box and in order for you to achieve a breach in the box your head has to act as leverage for you to gain that foot's push but by doing this your head equally pushes the opposite and you breach both ends of the box.
What do you end up with?
Your head and feet are outside of the box and you are now straight with absolutely no gain in propulsion.

And yet we're told craft can actually throw fuel out of one end and propel in the opposite direction when the reality would be to lose the fuel to one exit point due to massive expansion into a low-pressure environment at best or the fuel simply freezing solid the moment the nozzle is opened to the vacuum.

You see, in atmosphere action and equal and opposite reaction is always attained because the atmosphere is a massive resistance to anything thrown at it and there's no issue with throwing the fuel out of one end and being propelled against it if you create a bigger resistance for a push at one end to gain a breakthrough at the other by dissipating the atmospheric pressure to create a push back against the push against.

Wrong.
@Pancho This is getting dangerously close to requiring a crafty thread merge now.

The bloke is completely and utterly scientifically illiterate and I've yet to see a single sensible post of his, so I'd suggest you just ignore him.

Don't waste your time responding to him because he's beyond help and life's too short.
